RIP Mark Downing of Nantucket
Don't know how "national" they were and if any of my people here remember them, but they were based here in NC.
Made some good music. Toured and opened for Journey, KISS, Boston, etc. back in the day.
Heartbreaker is probably their biggest song.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

I remember hearing about this band back in the late 70’s/early 80’s, when FM rock stations were local and excellent, and rock festivals were happening all of the time. Nantucket were part of some of those festivals.

Theres a chance I saw this band and never knew it.
10-6-2020 RIP King of sixstrings.
Probably just means that Roth era songs get more "listeners" than Sammy stuff... Or, Roth era albums are selling more OR maybe they need a bump in sales. Could be a million things.
I was told
