Unchained vs. Jump

Jump's got a great vibe to it. The song's a classic.

But Unchained is the better song, IMO. The riff, the groove, the lyrics, the attitude... Not too shabby. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

I myself would choose "Unchained" over 95% of all VH songs any day. While lyrically, some may not feel it is as good as it could be, it's the groove and the vibe that song gives off that makes it my favorite VH tune! [img]smilies/cool.gif[/img] Just hearing that song kick off their concerts just sets the tone for an incredible show! That song just gets me going BIG time! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

I will say, though, that I do like "Jump" enough that while a sophomore in high school, I imitated DLR at a school dance, sang the song on the dj's mic then leaped off the stage doing the flying "V" and landing on some sucker below me...I broke my wrist when I landed. [img]smilies/redface.gif[/img]

what if "jump" wouldn't have been released as a single? no videoclip?

the only problem with Jump is that i listened to it so much, that right now i prefer listening to Unchained, but overall, Jump is such a kick-ass song. most probably the song Van Halen will always be remembered for.

Two of Van Halen's best songs. I'd go with Unchained. Jump gets a bad rap from a lot of fans, but it's a great song, especially when the volume is cranked up.
