King Diamond, by a few galaxies.

It doesn't help that I'm from the Boston area and have to hear fucking "Sweet Caroline" more than most people.

    King Diamond?

Wow, the well is getting dry.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

I've worshipped King Diamond since '84, when he was the singer for THE AWESOME
    Mercyful Fate.

I was obsessed with that band.

Yeah, both Hank & Michael were VERY influenced by Schenker.
You can really hear it with the solo's, very UFO-esque.

I actually was in NYC visiting my sister in '84, and i was looking for "Don't
break the oath," because i heard it on that Heavy Metal radio show.

The guy at the record store was like, i don't think it's out yet, but we have this....

He handed me "Melissa," and i was like, Okay, i'll try it.

I put it on later that night, and it fucking blew my mind.

I'd rather listen to Sweet Caroline on an eternal loop than ten minutes of King Diamond.

    That shit is horrible.

    Neil Diamond for the win.

Merciful Fate was pretty amazing at the time. I liked that much more than his solo stuff.

Neil Diamond though. One of the greatest ever regardless of genre. Neil Diamond all the way.

Neil is great. September Morn is a nice record. My father used to listen to it a lot. Plus it has a version of DITS.

But I do LOVE King Diamond records with Mercyful Fate and 02, maybe 03 records from his solo career. Melissa is damn cool. Those dark lyrics are still insane, the guitar riffs are amazing, the drum lines are superb - Kim Ruzz did a hell of a job on their 02 first efforts.

Yeah, Mercyful Fate was way better.

But i do like the first two KD solo albums: Fatal Portrait & Abigail.
Michael Denner from MF was still with him.

Having said that, i absolutely love Andy Laroque on guitar.
Even if it's a bad KD album, Andy is just an incredible soloist.
He makes the solos sound "creepy" just like King, it's amazing.
I don't know what scales he uses, but they sound so evil & Gothic.

Mercyful Fate is back and it seems they are recording a new studio album, man!

Like I said, 02 or 03 records from King Diamond (the band) are kick ass ones.
Fatal Portrait is damn fine. It has most of the elements that made MF the great band it once was.
