April Anarchy - Sammy Era Songs Only

Per a couple of requests from Mariner's recent March Madness Tournament thread, I have put together a Sammy Era Songs Only version. In order to make this work, I have given 18 of the 46 songs from the Sammy Era first round byes. The remaining 28 teams will be matched up in the first round. The 14 winners will join the 18 songs who received byes, which will leave us with 32 songs and a total of 5 more rounds until the champion is crowned.

Voting for this round will end at approximately 7:00 pm PST on Thursday, 4/23.

Would Me Wise Magic and Can't Get This Stuff No More qualify as "Sam era", since they technically were already working on those with Dave before Eddie kicked Sammy out?

Hehe. With apologies to Feelin' and Sucker and Crossing Over, which I think are great songs.

And to be fair...LTS could've been a great song. It's got so much going on in it, it's a shame it didn't coalesce into some kind of sum greater than its parts. A little more time and craft, I think LTS could've been an epic. One of the things I lament most about '04 was that some few east coasters got to see a handful of live versions of LTS. By the time they got out west, they'd dropped it from the set. Most folks here back then said it was kind of a shit show live, but I'd have liked to heard for myself. UFB was much much better live than on record. There was no saving IAT, alas.

I like seeing new VH live, ANY new VH live, probably more than anything else VH live....except for Eddie himself live.

Er...excepting a certain encore in Devore in '98, I 'spose.
