Would be a shame. I was starting to like it, especially the more fluid game / quicker pace.

I think it could still work. Here In Europe most countries have two pro soccer leagues, they even play during the same season, and both do well and both get their TV slots. Alot of people (who don't necessarily watch the game only for a star player, prefer the second league, here in Germany at least, because it is a more balanced team sport. Less ego-playing celebs, less budget, more team-play.

To be fair, the comparison does fall a bit short, because if a team from the second league is good enough it can play its way into the first league. That does make the second league more attractive because your team has a chance to move up into the first/premiere league.

There are a number of XFL players who recently got signed to NFL teams. Guys in the XFL getting a second chance to prove themselves and succeed playing football. Could have been great for the NFL too having the XFL to scout and pluck from.

I thought the XFL were doing a heck of a job in their first season and were showing a bunch of potential. I hope there's another chapter to come. Probably not to be though, and that's unfortunate.

The week before everything was cancelled, the Battlehawks announced they were opening the upper level of the Dome for the game against LA. According to the President of the team yesterday, we would have had 50,000+ in the dome that Sunday, crushing the record for most seats sold for an XFL game. It's a real bummer.

The fact that St Louis was putting up good numbers will not go unnoticed by the good ole boys in the next owners meetings. When the CFL expanded to the USA Baltimore was putting 30000 - 40000 fans in the seats per game. I know I went to every single home game the full 2 seasons. Watching Flutie in his prime destroy opposing defenses. I actually like the CFL league rules better.

Eh, the NFL can suck a goat dick at this point. St. Louis isn't interested even if they gave us a team for free and built their own stadium. I would probably sit outside the stadium and actively boo them just because the NFL owners are a bunch of cunts.

Well it looks like there are a few folks out there interested in buying the XFL, so it may not be dead yet. I guess we will see what the future holds, for now I've been checking out some CFL games on Youtube, it's not bad at all and even better considering I don't know who wins lol.

Vince is quite the sneaky bastard, but if it works out I'll be happy that the XFL is back once again.
