Im with you on a short fall schedule with Tues and Wed night games on network TV 7pm start. They are also going to have to get some D1 talent away from the NFL mainly qbs which with the rookie salary cap could be possible if agents feel comfortable with slovency issues. Long way to go and many ifs but you never know.

Awards:
They also need some name recognition.
Not sure how Johnny Manziel isn't in the league for example. I would try and talk Tim Tebow out of being a career minor league baseball player as well.If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.
Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"
David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Random thoughts on the XFL:
Ka-Kaw!
My BattleHawks are undefeated baby!
I haven't watched a single NFL game since the Rams left and I wish a bad case of herpes on every NFL owner except for Mark Davis.
It was weird to hear "First down, St. Louis," for the first time in years. The game itself was a bit choppy at times as both teams were clearly rusty, but the presentation was solid and I'll probably watch them again.
A lot of talk on the radio this morning about how much everyone here enjoyed the game, though. I think I'm like most football fans in St. Louis that swore off the NFL but still appreciate the sport. There were a lot of old Rams fans that got to get back into their Sunday routine with their old pals and watch some football together, which was fun.
Our first home game isn't until the 23rd, but ticket demand has been quite strong here. They already had to open more seat sections based on the tickets sold already, so I'm curious to see how big the crowds actually get. I also saw the BatteHawks have the most twitter followers in the league and have sold the most merchandise, so they may have something going here.
I think part of the support here started as kind of a tongue-in-cheek thing to spite the NFL, but then people were pleasantly surprised by the product yesterday and it's got the town buzzing today.
I don't think we'll see top talent in the league anytime soon, though. Player salaries are about $55k, so there's zero chance you'll see great D1 players there when there are better options elsewhere (NFL practice squad or CFL).CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

Colin Kaepernick allegedly wanted $20 million to play in the XFL. Most players make under $500K.
That's why he's not in the new league

IAMA I am a stage hand for big mainstream artists. (self.IAmA)
Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?
A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"
Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman
