Its funny to see how things change. Not being critical of anybody because I was critical of this too. When my governor Mike DeWine created the vaccine lottery he was laughed at. Now its being used elsewhere and now people here (again not being critical) are saying we could have given money in stimulus for the vaccine.

The geeky guy has been right more than wrong with this pandemic

Did people laugh at him? I thought it was sad it was needed but it was an outside the box idea. Ohio has done a slightly better than average job in keeping deaths down. One of the better big states as far as deaths per capita.

Reluctantly I went to Walmart at lunchtime… the only people wearing a mask were a few cashiers and one customer who had it on his forehead.

I know you're not being critical, but just to be clear, I was only piggy-backing on what LM was saying. It wasn't an endorsement of giving stimulus money out for the vaccine. But if economists were suggesting giving $3000 to people to get vaccinated, they may as well have tied that to a stimulus.

The only critique I had of DeWine's lotteries was that the dollar amounts seemed a bit excessive for each winner. They could have had more winners with smaller payouts.

But how is Ohio doing with the vaccination rollout?

Yeah people said it was a terrible idea wasting public funds like it. Initially and then when there were positive indications it worked, well then it was really laughed at.

i know Jimmy you were not endorsing so to speak having stimulus checks. That said its interesting how quickly what was maybe taboo to bring up a month or so ago can be an actual valid idea now

Yes on the other point about masks in Ohio. We are done with them. If you want to wear them, more power to you but one thing about us, is that we are kind of pragmatic people. We don't veer too far right or left. Outside of parts of Cincinnati and where Number 47 lives :-) We kind of stay center. Maybe that's why I get in opposition with a lot on this board besides being an idiot. I think being scared out of the bejesus is a terrible idea and think that thinking its a joke is a terrible idea too.

Yesterday, I had to drive to Van Nuys (from Huntington Beach) to pick up replacement pool fencing at the factory. My wife and son wanted to go with me so it turned out to be a little family road trip. For lunch, we dined at a Denny's indoors for the first time since the Pandemic started - very weird feeling. Also had to get some stuff at Home Depot and some groceries at the store - about 70% still wearing masks. If we're going to have any sort of surge, it's gonna start happening in the next few weeks, imo.

So weird. We've eaten at restaurants for months, maybe even over a year now. I guess it's a California thing? I don't know.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

They’ve either been outdoors/takeout only, 25% or 50% capacity depending upon your county up until this past Tuesday, save a couple counties.

Even at 50% capacity waits could be crazy.

Honestly with two young kids it just ended up being worth the money to have it delivered.
