They do anyway as they can’t fucking stand them. I’m getting dangerously close to this ideal as well.

Lots of adults like to be able to make their own choices instead of government doing it for them. But it appears that fewer and fewer of those people exist.

It's illegal to walk around naked too, but people don't seem to think that putting on pants infringes upon their liberty.

We are in a global pandemic, put on a mask. They still don't know whether or not the thing is airborne, and yes, we aren't sure whether or not the masks are effective.

Put the damn thing on anyway. I went grocery shopping this morning, put on a mask and gloves, and gee, I survived, with my liberty intact.

It won't be as immediately pronounced as New York; the world has learned a lot about this - and the earlier you get in for treatment the better your chances are. But - if at it's peak, New York had 13,000 cases a day - when Florida gets to 20-25,000 per day, the death toll from a number of people perspective will be just as many as New York, but the ratio will obviously go down.
Florida also isn't making decisions to kill people in nursing homes. That'll help some. End of the day this comes down to personal responsibility. A lot of people suck at that.

“You have to wear a seatbelt don’t you?”

You can use this kind of argument to justify almost anything.

As long as the media/government can create enough fear and use these arguments they can get people to accept almost anything.

This all proves that if government can scare people enough, they’ll give up liberty for what largely is a false sense of security.

    Human beings are dumb sheep.

    Always will be.

There is no recovery. You can’t have a real recovery while you pile up the kind of debt that is being piled up. It simply isn’t real.

It's amazing we still feel the need to say these things.

Sadly, for some, they still feel like it's a violation of their liberty...during a friggin' pandemic.

You're actually right about this. Western governments have created a lot of "economic growth" via smoke and mirrors for a while.

At least Cuomo made a good statement on this. The mayor just strikes me as a real ass-clown.

Just wait to see how government officials use viruses and diseases in the future. Politicians will use them for a power grab. Just like they have for this. Just like Republicans use 9/11 as an excuse to grab for power.
