That was an inconsiderate and rude thing to say to Wolf.

And Ed evidently doesn't want Mike in the band anyhow, so whatever.

There’s one thing all VH fans can agree on.

Michael Anthony is the real bassist. Wolfgang did an admirable job but he’s gotta stop taking the bait on social media. It just makes him look like an ungrateful douche sparring with fans online.

He likes to spar too. That's not just a Linker trait.

I think we'll hear new music from John Lennon before WVH releases his solo album.

Hey ziggysmalls! Thanks for posting about Tokyo Motor Fist. I have enjoyed listening to their tracks this weekend. Some really great AOR hard rock. Tip of the hat to you, good sir!

I liked Wolf's response, but his math is wrong. That is if he's talking about the name Van Halen in the band Van Halen.

He should release a single and and sit on the rest until they can do a proper release. Why not!?

You think? I don't get that at all. Sometimes I feel that it's the fans who come across as ungrateful. Isn't Wolf a big part of why we got 3 tours with Dave and a new album? Granted we VH fans have dealt with a lot of B.S. from VH over the years, but if Wolf was the main cog in the wheel from 07-15, then I'm thankful for that.

Having said that, I wish he'd get to work on the boxed set from all that shit in the vault.

Some fans are as bitter as Ed seems to be towards Mike. SMFH.

Default Countdown to Wolf's New Music

Wolfís involvement in Van Halen has been a far more positive thing for Ed than a negative. Iím talking in terms of Edís sanity and his happiness. And thatís more important to him than anything else.

I donít understand why there are any fans out there right now bitching about anything with regards to Wolfgang. He isnít stopping Van Halen from doing anything.

They want him to leave the band. What band? Wolf could say he has no plans to ever play in VH again and that wouldnít change anything about whatís going on right now.

Ridiculous! Yeah, he was nice about it (compared to others) but you don't say stuff like that. That person would never say that to his face, so, it shouldn't be said on social media either.

I don't understand his need to reply. You're set for life without having to do a thing. You could be doing anything you want. But you wanna talk to asshole trolls on the internet? I know your generation grew up with this kind of thing on social media, but in your case it doesn't make much sense. If I had that kind of cash that's the last fucking thing I'd be doing.

One thing that some of us don't get with Wolfgang is that he grew up with social media. For him, hostility, snarky remarks, etc are no different to him than us having to press FF or Rewind on a cassette tape. Would seem out of place to a 30 year old but normal for us. Not defending his previous comments but he is a younger person than the demographic here at VH Links.

That said I don't see what difference it makes on when he releases his music. Its his music. We have heard about it for years so what is another 6 months to a year? How many of us are really chomping at the bits to hear it? Likely just a curiosity factor. If he wants to tour with it and is waiting for that, so be it.

I also don't get any hostility to him being in VH. No he isn't Mike. He isn't his dad. Should he kneel before asking for forgiveness of how his dad treated him? No. The only thing he is guilty of is not mentioning Mike and that could be due to his dad. However he really doesn't discuss anything about VH so not sure why no comments equals negative comments. His dads legacy is his dads. If anything Wolfgang probably at least gave his dad a shot at not leaving this earth in 2005. That would have been worse.

It seems he's very sensitive to the criticism he has received, at a very young age. He was put in an impossible situation by Ed. He was only 15, it would've been hard for him to say: "sorry Dad, not interested."
I think in the end it's basically the same MO in their camp: it's too painful to confront who's truly responsible for this mess. He's their dad and little brother, they want to protect him. I get that. Someone has to be blamed... so the convenient thing to do is to blame "ungrateful fans." It's a bit childish. I think one day they will have to face the truth, and it may be painful. It's natural to want to delay things, part of human nature.
