True. I remember the rest of the members of the band being disappointed in the movie because they said there were a lot of times and performances where he wasn't fucked up but you would've never known if you believed the movie was 100% true.

I can' speak for everybody but I am pretty sure that The Doors were popular in the 80's. Now granted in high school I knew of them but was more interested in Van Halen, Yngwie, Bon Jovi, Dokken, Metallica, etc Went to Ohio State and upon my first day there, I soon realized my taste in music wasn't really what college kids listened too. The Doors, Jimi, Janis, REM, The Cure, Greatful Dead, LZ, Depeche Mode, New Order, Cream, etc all were being played.

I had my first trip to The Doors greatest hits. Only bad trip too. Tripping my balls off in a room and this guy called The Badger stands up while The End is playing. He says "pretend you are in Vietnam" Sits back down. During the song I saw explosions, Viet Cong, etc. Went to bed and then a little purple rhino was sitting in my closet. Told me to Fuck Off. Anyway all of this due to The Doors

Never would happen with the BulletBoys

Same here. High school was more 80's hard rock. College was where I learned more about 70's rock like The Doors and Pink Floyd, and my love of Zeppelin went beyond their popular songs. What a great experience. Is that still happening today? Doubtful.

And, you're right, that never would happen with the Bulletboys. Although, have you given "THC Groove" a chance?

    Similar experience with the wall.

College was just a place for me to do a lot of blow, fuck at a Clooney pace, and drink like a fish.

    And I did.

We actually played that a few times in rehearsals. Can’t remember why it never made it to the setlist. Love that tune.

SS, LOC, and Fools were at the top of my short list of deep cuts I would've loved to have seen the band do had they gone on another tour.

Yeah, DDL was on my list of deep cuts--glad I got that one. SS, HOP and Whiskey were also.

I don't think I even thought of LUTS--I just didn't think it was remotely an option. I was pleasantly surprised!

Simple Rhyme--I was stoked when I heard they were doing it. Then I saw it live and was disappointed. Those vocal sections just didn't work out as well as I'd hoped.

SS was one of mine, too. With OF and TJ. After DDL, LUTS, DM, and IASR that is, meaning for the next tour.
