    Saw it.

As bad as it was, it was better than The Doors movie. I wanted to punch "Morrison" in The Doors.

The Dirt and The Doors were great movies.
Van Halen. There is no substitute.

Saying The Dirt is a great movie is like saying VHIII trumps Led Zeppelin IV.

Of course if you say "no" to everything, then nothing will happen, on that we agree.
No one was talking about The Doors in the 80’s? Really? There was a best selling book “No One Hear Gets Out Alive”.

A greatest hits package that was newly compiled and charted, pretty high.

Plus a well known Rolling Stone cover story with the headline “Jim Morrison, He’s Hot, He’s Sexy, and He’s Dead”

Then a Live Album “Alive She Cried” was released and sold well.

It was the early 80’s but the band and their music had a definite resurgence, arguably more than that lame Oliver Stone movie (which was inspired by that best selling book).

Edit: Didn’t see the posts after yours which covered the some of the same points. Not to beat a dead horse.

The Doors movie was better than that. The reason you wanted to punch Morrison in the movie was because he really was an asshole like that.

I had heard from the Discovery podcast that Morrison was rumored to have frequented Spahn Ranch...aka the Manson Family Ranch and hang out with Charlie. He even had Charlie come to the studio a few times while The Doors were recording

I don’t know but the main theme of the song is a complete rip off of the Bulletboys. And the Bulletboys suck donkey dick. I can’t imagine giving props to any band for sounding like that. I almost just sang “Smooth Up In Ya” and that’s bad!!
