new book "Eruption in the Canyon" inside the 5150

A buddy of mine has spent some time putting a book together about
his stay at the 5150, and it is about to be released.
There will be a lot of real nice photos of the studio as well as Ed's guitars.
I have been in contact with Andrew the last few years, he is a super nice guy
and has been emailing me a few of these photos... They are awesome!
I personally like these photos of the frankenstrat at the studio much better than the recent museum photos..

and cant wait for the book to be released this month.

This project/book has been Ed approved.. maybe this will lead into the approval
of the 5150 vault videos, who knows..

very cool. Depending on the pics of the guitars that were taken and approved it would be nice if the phtographer was able to get pics of some of the rarer ones like the Black and Yellow doubleneck, Steinbergers and even some of the more rare Kramers Ed still has in his collection. Maybe the orginal amber 5150 EBMM some of the PV Wolfs. I guess well see.

The cover does indeed say that...on an amp that's included in the book's cover picture. I wouldn't go so far as to imply that means Ed approved the book. Either way, there are some great Van Halen stories and pictures waiting to be read & seen.
