Get the Led Out!
I figured I'd better get a Zep cover in before Brett monopolized all the tune I know!
We used to open with this one back in my gigging days. Our singer hated it because it was rough on his voice. I demanded it because I was infatuated with "The Song Remains The Same" and loved the part where it's all dark and then Bonzo yells "Let's rock and roll" and starts in with the intro and then the lights come on when the full band kicks in.
Tried to do my own little tribute to that in my basement. Not quite the same but you get the point. Ha ha!

Get the Led Out!
Ha ha nice job man! What’s funny is that was the next one I was going to put up, and it’s done, but I decided to do a GNR song first.
Yours is a much looser and improvised fun version than mine. I copied the studio version pretty much note for note.
Anyway good work, you beat me, and love the enthusiasm in the playing. Sometimes I get too caught up in playing everything right to look like I’m having any fun. You actually show it!

Ha ha, thanks man! Sorry to sneak it in before you.
I'm not as technically proficient so I've got to spice it up a bit with some goofiness. I just pretend I'm on stage somewhere and let it rip.
Both approaches have merit and it is definitely harder to move around and stuff when you're trying to re-create the studio cut because you've got to be precise.
I'm pretty sure in the SRTS video Plant mixes up the verses. And Page's solo is nothing like the studio cut either.
I did three takes, I think the solo was better in the first one but the overall vibe wasn't as good so I used the last one.
