I've tried many turkeys. Never close to the house/garage. One little mistake will turn into a disaster. The cause in the video just plain carelessness that injured a woman, displaced many from their home and destroyed their belongings. What a shame for those people.

We tried it a few years ago. I'm not a fan. Maybe we used the wrong oil or something, but it didn't do anything for me and no one was thrilled with it. I'm fine going the traditional route of sticking it in the oven for several hours.

Your supposed to use peanut oil, between the cost of the turkey and five gallons of that shit you could buy a prime rib roast

I smoked one Thursday, while good it still doesn't make me want another one for a year

I believe we used peanut oil. We followed all the recommended directions. Either way, we tried it, it wasn't the greatest, we're done with it. Raldo, we had heard the same rave reviews about a fried turkey. I was expecting to love it.

We had a 22lb bird this year--I get a free fresh one every year from my work. No one came over this year, since my daughter's class was in quarantine, so we drove a few dishes to people but we still have a LOT of leftovers. The wife said she's going to make a soup and a turkey pot pie. I'm kind of done with turkey for a while, but at least she's mixing it up.
