    ***************

    Why am I posting this?

    Simple.

Like most of you, I really love the work of the Van Halens, be it Ed, Al, or Wolf.

Wolf marched on stage with a really great attitude, which unfortunately got twisted along the way. A few posters on this site poked at him for his weight struggles, although most people on this site have had a thankful heart for bring Van Halen back.

Likewise, most posters - even those who, like myself, miss Mike - laud Wolf for both his talent and for his abilities.

I can't help but feel that Wolf's very poor perception of us, affects the way in which he relates to Van Halen's fans. This sucks, as Van Halen is one of the few bands even worth watching.

Where is Wolf pulling this negativity from?

Why - over the past few years - does he insist on thinking that Van Halen fans have a low opinion of him? Why - over the past few years - does he see Van Halen fans as a group of insatiable people who will NEVER be happy with whatever they put out.

    "Yawn."

    "Why do you care?"

Music plays a big role in my life, and there's a dearth of quality art out there. Therefore, for the sake of the craft itself, I would like to be an encouraging force towards artists whom I appreciate.

All the fucking children on Twitter, Instagram, and even this site have gotten to him. 10+ years of people insisting he ruins the band or faked his way through tours. That'll mess with one's head, especially when they're young and still forming themselves as a person. It's not an excuse, it's an unfortunate reality. It's Mike is still right, he gives the trolls and haters far too much credit.

All Wolf did was fill a spot in a band that his Dad told him was vacant. If he hadn't then the forensic scientists on this forum would still be trying to determine Eddie's BAC on each night during the '04 tour - because if not for Wolf that would've been the last we saw of VH.

Go read through the archives of this site and you'll have your answer.

Throwing a fit because he's Ed's son, pumping in the bass, pumping in the backing vocals, making fun of his weight, its all there to see.

Combine that with the vitriol that his dad gets and it doesn't surprise me at all.

And why the fuck is this Mitch Lafon guy tweeting something like that? He knows what the answers are going to be. He's a bigger douchnozzle for encouraging this shit that Wolf is for responding.

We all know what happened. We also know what the answers are going to be. I would guess that virtually no one is going to say they liked the change and are glad that Wolf took Mike's spot. And its not because Wolf can't do the playing and singing competently, but solely because he replaced a fan favorite who had been with the band since the very beginning. This guy's an asshole intentionally trying to stir up crap and I don't blame Wolf one iota for his response.

Frankly Wolf ought to just shut his twitter down and get off of social media. Which is a shame because he used it to some good effect with setlists and pics and whatnot. But as is usually the case, assholes had to ruin it.

Yeah if there is anybody a person needs to be mad or pissed off at its his dad. Not him. I mean I guess there is a chance on he would see Eddie passed out on the floor in 2006 lying in his own piss. Would bend over and whisper in his ear "Fire Mike. Hire your Son" and repeat it all night.I guess he could have asked his dad that all he wanted for his 16th birthday was a new iPhone and to play bass in VH. However I seriously doubt it. He was offered it and decided maybe it would be fun to play with his dad and uncle.

He isn't Mike. Sammy isn't Dave. Dave isn't Sammy and unfortunately Gary wasn't even Gary Cherone during his time. I am just thankful we got some music. Regardless of it being brickwalled, Dave yelping like a castrated porpoise and Mike's harmonies missing.

Yeah he should just shut down Twitter and realize that he is the enemy since he isn't Mike. Some 50 year old fanboys will come a trolling. However they should troll Eddie. He is the one that caused it. Not Wolfgang

I know he's young, but what did he expect? It seems like he knows his VH history. Maybe he doesn't know it that well.

VH has been synonymous with constant drama almost since its inception. In 86 Hit Paraders had a cover story with DLR and EVH named "The Van Halen Wars." In the year 1996 alone, Van Halen reportedly had 4 different singers.

OK read this out loud and think about it.

FOUR DIFFERENT SINGERS IN ONE YEAR!!!!!!

Then you had the VHIII drama, then the lawyer-aborted DLR reunion of 2001, then the disastrous tour of 2004, and then 2006. Maybe Wolf could have googled 2006 and found out that his father didn't really thank the previous holder of the bass player position with a "thank you so much for your service and great contribution but now I would like to play with my son" little spiel. MA was fired through the internet. When you add all this together, plus the fact that the band didn't even show up at their own RNRHOF induction, how can you be surprised?!?!

What should matter to him is that the tour was successful, made money, and ADKOT did sell a few units. What matters more, a few bad comments online or a massive tour and playing on a VH record? It seems Wolf doesn't have his priorities in order.

His problem is that he had the high road if he wanted it - he certainly has a valid position where there is/was a vocal minority that are absolute shitheads about it all. I personally have been on his side in that I don't think he deserves any criticism whatsoever around the greater Van Halen saga.

Except now he's just being a whiny little bitch.

Dude - all these people you're bitching and rolling your eyes about are the ones that have funded the majority of your life. You have what you have because people like me paid for the albums, tours, etc. Shut...the...fuck...up and be appreciative of what you have.

Don't get me wrong - he doesn't need to appreciate "me", but at least own/acknowledge that what he has is pretty fucking good for someone who didn't actually earn a whole lot of it.

I don't know - maybe he'd have had all that with Valerie's career...then again, without the band Van Halen, she and Ed never get together.

I think he's a decent guy deep down and I'm guessing he felt too insecure to ever say something like, "MA is an incredible bass player and incredible vocalist. I try my best to emulate him in the path he laid out for me. I hope I do his legacy proud when I'm out there playing the songs he recorded and played live all those years."

I think that would have went a long way with fans like me.

He joined VH when he was 15. Started playing with Ed and Al long before that I am sure. He had no idea what any of this shit really meant at that age. People have shit on him for over 10 years now because he had the audacity to play in a band with his dad and uncle. And do a pretty good damn job of it in the process.

I agree he ought to get off of social media. Fuck the ugly ass trolls, here and elsewhere.

Oh yeah? So that gives people carte blanche to be dickheads and assholes on his twitter feed because they bought a Van Halen album? And he has to just shut up and take it?

As for acknowledging that he has a pretty good life for someone who didn't earn it, let me know the next time any heir to a fortune does that.

    I can see it now.

"Hey guys. I just want to send out a big thank you to all of you who have claimed that I'm not really playing bass, that there's a guy behind the curtain singing back ups, and told me my stage presence sucks. Oh, and thanks for chiming in on my weight. Because of all of your kind words, I'm asking my mom to set me up with some Jenny Craig so I can take care of the issue. I also want to say I am eternally grateful for all of your kind words about my father. After all, without him there is no Van Halen, so its really great that so many of you have so many wonderful things to say about him.

Finally, A huge thank you to all of you that have ever bought a Van Halen record. Because of you I'm set for life even though I didn't really earn much, if any of it. But thanks again guys, maybe we'll tour again someday and maybe we won't but you have all been so gracious and heartwarming with your kind words that I just felt compelled to put this out there."
