I love Jump. Great tune from my favourite band. 05 stars for me.

Of course, it ain't their best stuff, but it worked fine back then and it still sounds fresh today.

It's a five star winner, although maybe slightly behind Lick My Love Pump.

One of the easiest 5's I could give a VH song. It's their biggest song for a reason.

I hate it. Hated it when it was first released, still do. I'm glad Van Halen almost always closed with it as it was my cue to beat the rush to the parking lot.

It's a five. Easiest #5 in their entire catalog.

They are famous because of that song, love it or hate it.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    5. I loved it as a kid, but I actually love it more now. It has the great solos by Ed along with some pretty clever drum parts by Al.

Still one of the great rock videos ever produced, too. Brilliant in it's simplicity. Just show the greatest hard rock band ever doing what they did best.

    Easy 5.

It's a great tune and it's not their fault it's been overplayed.

If you just listen to it from a musical standpoint it's really got some neat stuff going on.

    I give it a 2.

The first kick in the balls from the mighty VH, for this fan, as kid.

If you skip 1984/Jump, the album is exceptional.

But "Jump!" is the go-to for the casual fans, imo.

    Great song, 5.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

David Lee Roth, Edward Van Halen, Michael Anthony, Alex Van Halen, Sammy Hagar.
