Solid. Truth is, every interview he’s ever done has positive stuff about VH.

Yeah...that bit about CF. It’s Chad. Always has been. We’d have a lot more CF if it weren’t for the Peppers’ mad touring.

    Thanks for posting this.

Hagar is 71, and he could be living his life in a self serving way. Instead, as much as Sammy lives to enjoy life, he likewise works at things that spread goodness around.

You gotta respect him for that.

Yeah, that's a good read. Sam does come across as a cool guy who loves life, good for him.

Cool interview but I will never agree with Sam’s statement about the Circle playing VH songs as good as VH played them. No way.

Jason Bonham is not Alex Van Halen.

Vic Johnson is not even Brett Norton, not to mention Eddie Van Halen.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Can we talk Dave Lee Roth?

The two of you toured together in 2002, and it got quite fractious. Was that for real, or was it played up for the public?

It got totally played up. There wasn’t any animosity. Well, there was one crazy moment in Raleigh, Carolina where Dave flipped out.

But yeah, it was overplayed. Dave and I don’t hate each other. If we saw each other we’d hug and buy each other a drink. [Laughing] I don’t know how long we’d hug for, but we’d hug.

You just don’t know what is reality with anything VH related.

A man in his early 70's and just cool as fuck.

Say whatever you want about the guy (and I'm a diehard classic VH fan), but he is just one cool fucking guy.

    Good interview.

Sammy's always gonna have tall tales, you kind of expect it. Maybe even like it. You're not expecting him to say "Standing Hampton sold 1.37 million records in 49 months." He exaggerates.
