Default Best Online Training to Get Better?

Hey all--I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good online training to help me build my chops. A little background...I'm mostly a bedroom player, just jamming along with my old favorites in my spare time. Classic rock, 80's metal, that kind of thing. I play by ear using open chords and a couple of barre chords that I basically go to (E and A). So I can sort of feel my way through it for rhythm. But lead is where I fall short. Need to get better at pick speed especially.

Any suggestions for great online teaching? Free is always good. Not trying to master anything, just improve. Thanks!

If you have a PlayStation, there is Rocksmith.

You can play along to songs with a real guitar or bass ala Guitar Hero style, and there are lessons, exercises, etc. in it.

    I really enjoy it.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

My buddy runs GuitarGate.com. He's a phenomenal player, a fantastic teacher, and an EVH fan to boot (he's got a Wolfgang in his arsenal). I think he's got a free trial on his site so you can sample his material.

    YouTube is your friend!!!
Look up segments from Paul Gilbert's instructional DVDs. While I'll never have his technique and/or speed, he's very funny and patient. I learned a lot about picking/scale patterns/combining licks/Etc.

Again, not up to his level, yet they did help me a lot with mine..

Or you could slow down/pause/rewind Eddie's solo(s) from Live Without a Net, like we all did!!!!
