Default DLR on Danny Bonaduce show

Greg Renoff just retweeted that Dave was on Danny Bonaduce's show this morning. Listening now. So far the stunning revelation is that Danny Bonaduce is nails on a chalkboard to listen to as an interviewer.

A lot of promotion for Ink The Original. And yeah, wow, Bonaduce is horrible. The woman with him might be worse.

With all due respect, Art (you know I luv ya, Bro!), the thought of clicking on this doesn't excite me. Listening to one coked out rambler interviewing another, well, you know...

    Then don’t click it.

Dave sounded really normal! I think if you catch him in the early morning hours you get the "real" Dave.

They gave him all of six minutes, and Danny Bonaduce asks a question, and as soon as Dave gets two sentences out, Bonaduce cuts him off and asks another, totally unrelated question. Then when Dave's off the line, Bonaduce starts talking about what a "lunatic" he is. "Did anybody follow anything that guy said?!" I did! It was far easier to follow than his YouTube shows.

He did mention Ink the Original and called it a "hobby." That's very different from what he was saying on Joe Rogan a few months ago, when he seemed so into it I was waiting for him to reach for his sample case.

On that other radio interview Dave said he was "betting the rent" on this Vegas show. I bet that's almost literally true. He hasn't done a state fair tour in a dozen years. Van Halen's last tour was four years ago. On Joe Rogan I think he said he'd plowed a couple million into this Ink the Original thing, which he now calls a hobby. That may be because Ink the Original now has 207 Twitter followers. No state fair shows, no Van Halen shows, a lot of money rolled on Ink the Original to get to 207 Twitter followers, and property taxes on a 10,000 square foot house in Pasadena and apartments in Tokyo and New York to pay rent on, not to mention paying off the Portuguese and Kendo lessons. I bet Dave needs a cash infusion! Hello, Vegas!

Ya know, I have no tattoos, and I don't know a heck of a lot about them. But I always thought when DLR came out with this shit...."How much can he possibly make off what is essentially moisturizer?" There's 37 different kinds on any Wal-Mart shelf in America. Just seemed like a really really weird thing to invest so much money into.... 207 Twitter followers is like what my shitty band has!

Why not open a restaurant in SoCal called "Diamond Dave's" or something with Japanese, Mexican food, and Hot Dogs and shakes? "On Fire" hot wings? Glazed Doughnuts to go, Lots of VH memorabilia on the walls, etc... I would think that would be more profitable and he would have more direct control over the operation... Hey Dave - If you like that idea - hit me up. I would invest in that and re-locate to SoCal to manage it!

I like your thinking! Like Alice Cooper's Cooperstown in Phoenix! I think it's been open for 30 years and is still doing well.

I also heard someone, maybe it was Paul McCartney, on Jimmy Fallon saying Keith Richards owns a hotel in Miami! He said people are eating their breakfast and Keith walks around with a poodle on a leash and stops at every table and asks everyone how they're enjoying their stay! I'd pee on the rug faster than the dog if Keith Richards was asking me how I liked his hotel! (I bet every table has some packets of...BROWN SUGAR! "How's my stay? Mr. Richards, I guess you could say I'm really experiencing...SATISFACTION!")

Maybe Dave needs a business manager, but from what I heard about his New York radio stint via Howard Stern, Dave doesn't take direction too well. On the other hand, also, I'm totally speculating. Maybe Dave's solvent and doing this for the heck of it.

Keith's restaurant sounds a bit like Adrian's, from Rocky Balboa, yet on a much higher scale!
