    Listening now
"He has a swaggering retro machismo that will give hives to the Steinem cabal" -Camille Paglia on Donald Trump

"But, fucking with Brook is like fucking with hot shit on and ax handle. You just don't get a grip"-track5

"Make way for the bad guy"- Tony Montana

'This hamburger don't need no helper"- David Lee Roth

"I wish Bon Jovi would've given me a call before he recorded all of his hits, because the lyrics would've been smarter, the melodies would've been much more smashing, and they would've sold a lot fewer records." -David Lee Roth

"My beef is people thinking Bon Jovi is good cuz they sold lots of records to housewives." -tango

"But being number one doesn’t really mean jack fuck all. We sold twice as many records as other records that year (1984) that landed in the Number One position." ~Eddie Van Halen

Nothing groundbreaking. Just talked about his upcoming Vegas shows. Says best VH song is Jump (question was asked by the DJ). Dave actually sounds wayyy more toned down at 8am. Lol

I think he said his band is using the same crew as VH. It sounded like he said "yeah I was up at the studio with Ed and the guys, and we are using the same crew as Van Halen"

Road crew I guess.. Dave sounded tired.

Good to hear him, but nothing on VH. Only things new were that he's been practicing with this band for 8 months, there will be 3 guitar players, and the first song will be Panama. Did I miss anything?

Ed and Al are all but done as far as touring and releasing new music if you ask me. It's a shame!

I refuse to listen to anymore of his interviews etc., but you mentioned he's been practicing for these gigs with another band for ejght months???

I could see that in the first year or two of the so called James Bond schedule, not in year four, going on five... Edward? Call Sammy and Mike!

If he rehearses once a week, then 8 months sounds legit.

Probably because it’s their only #1 hit and arguably the song with the most global appeal. They didn’t dive into it much .

If we’re going just on success and global appeal then yes. That’s song probably puts more change in their pockets than any other single.

I'm not even sure Dave understood the question. The phone connection was not great, and I didn't even understand the question the way the DJ was asking it. It was a long drawn out question. Dave easily could have thought he meant what is the most recognizable song. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It was so stupid, the DJs starting mumbling the guitar part for You Really Got Me during the interview. It was nice to hear someone from the VH camp.

Lots of roadies and sound crew members etc. work with different artists when schedules permit it. Same as how some big bands borrow others' sound systems when one or the other aren'tt touring.
