I will say this, they both can't shut the fuck up. Dave a meandering mess on the Roth Show and makes it intolerable. Sammy can't avoid talking about himself in an interview. Hell Sammy barely lets anyone else talk. I watched the first two seasons of the show, mainly for the music jams, and Sammy is the worst interviewer ever.

So now Sammy's a bad interviewer?!? An interview with Sammy follows the format of a celeb interviewing another celeb. So yes, he will talk about himself, it's in the name of show, "Sammy's road trip." I found the interviews with Duff McKagan, Rick Springfield, etc. to be really good.

Like a bad haircut (in hindsight) or 80"s clothes (ditto), I am completely put off by Dave's interviews from back then... At the time, I thought it was cool, yet now I can't/don't want to be bothered. Same with his Roth show ramblings.

I said before that I love Sammy's beach party & chill vibe over rambling tangents that resemble dementia and Alzheimer's... Also said I'd prefer (10x out of 10) to be drinking and fishing with Sammy and relaxing, than wanting to throw myself out of the boat & drown if I was with Dave. This says nothing about the music, before the usual suspects chime in, only MY preference about their personalities and lifestyles.

I actually think both would be better if they switched formats. Roth Show is essentially a personal vlog and Sam is better at sincerely talking about himself.

Road Trip is set up to be an interview and Dave is better at interviewing people and asking questions. I think both shows are better if they used the other guys format

Disagree, with no disrespect to you.
Dave is Dave's favorite subject... Sammy has a lot of that too, at times. I just don't think it's of equal proportion, and Roth is a hog in terms of cutting people off and dominating an interview; often not in a good way. IMO.
