Achievements:
I love Marching to Mars. You'd have to think that the impetus for it was to show Eddie that he didn't need him to make a great record, and I think Sammy proved that. I'm not really good at comparing, but I'd say that VH III is a bit better, but then I love VH III too.

I really like MTM. It came out at such a dark and gloomy time for Van Halen fans. Had no idea what had happened to DLR, and VH was working with the old new guy (as opposed to the new old guy now). Great songs, and a good feel to it.

I'll say this, IMO, DLR Band and MTM were better than 3, but certain if some certain songs weren't on 3, I'd say 3 was better than MTM...
I like Standing Hampton, VOA and Unboxed but then again, I like Hagar solo more than I like most of his VH stuff. Just like I like Extreme more than I like 3.

I know some people like his old rock n roll type songs, but Marching to Mars get my vote. It's such a great album & is very underated.
