Great interview with Eddie. It’s a great peek into the past, this interview was done right after Diver Down was released. Ed plays acoustic guitar ideas (over the phone), he even plays a recorded version of Jump in its early stages via a hand held Walkman type recorder over the phone. I haven’t heard this interview before and thought it was cool. It’s Ed being Ed on this, if you know what I mean. Love it! Great interview. Eddie tells The interviewer not to repeat many things on this interview, worth the listen itself. Enjoy!

Yeah, it's the Jas Obrecht interview, that later appeared in Guitar Player (Holdsworth cover),
edited.

Obrecht's question about the fusion-esque lick in "Full Bug," goes totally over Ed's head.
Jas is referring to the wide stretch lick, but Ed thinks he means the "DA..NA..DANA..." thing
before the harmonica solo.

That always cracked me up.

His comments about Randy kinda bugged me.
