Is Sammy back in?

Warning. This is pure speculation based on something I’ve become aware of, and I have no inside information to back this up. Unfortunately, I can’t say specifically what that is until after July first, but I’ll try to beat around the edges of it as much as I can.

I became aware that Eddie is going to pay tribute to Sammy Hagar in a very public and official way, without saying it.. Those who see it will know it when they do. That’s all I can really say until I’m cleared to say more.

That led me to speculate just why he would do that. The only thing that made any sense was that Sammy would be joining them for a final tour, and that we could possibly get a Sam/Dave reunion tour that included Michael Anthony.

I know there has already been speculation on this happening, but when I found out about what EVH is going to do this summer, there would be no other reason to do it unless Sammy was a part of something.

Sorry this is so cryptic. I know it sounds like all the other bullshit posts speculating about the band, but when you actually see what I’m talking about, and the amount of money, and time it would take for Eddie to do it, there has to be some kind of commitment to Sammy.

The information I’m talking about is available to other people, but they are not supposed to officially talk about it until July, and even then, they would have to actually look at it and put it together.

Ed's going to pay tribute to Sam.....whoa.

Everyone knows I'm a big Sam guy but I don't see this happening but I won't totally dismiss as anything is possible in the VH world.

It doesn't sound like a bullshit post but I'm not sure what you are looking for... I don't think anyone is going to speculate on the potential significance of your speculation of an event that hasn't happened yet and is unknown to anyone but you.

But I guess it's no different than people who are watching the moving trucks in front of Kyrie's house

I know, I get it. I wish I could just come right out and say what it is, but I'm sworn to secrecy. It's not inside band information or anything like that. It's something Eddie is going to do, and I can't for the life of me figure out why he would do it, unless it meant something was going on with Sammy. The rest is just based on past things we all know. Dave recently said something his happening. Sammy has long said that he wouldn't do anything without doing a Sam/Dave tour with Mike. We know there has been communication with them trying to put something together with Mike, although he is now denying anything is happening. When you put all that together with what I've been made aware of, it seems like it's reasonable to conclude there has been some kind of commitment made to Sammy.

Read my recent posts and do some research, and you may be able to find what I'm talking about. Sorry for the riddle, but I can't come out and say what it is. It's not necessarily a by-name tribute to Sammy Hagar, but when it happens, you will get it.

I'm guessing this has something to do with his guitars/equipment because that's about the only thing he spends energy on these days. That would involve a lot of people which would fit the bill here. I'm not sure how much that would "pay tribute" to Sam without knowing what Ed is actually rolling out here.

I can't confirm that. I'm afraid that's all I can say, but somebody may have the same information I do and be willing to say something about it. I will say most people that know have probably been put on embargo until sometime in July.

BTW: In full disclosure, I have not actually SEEN the information I'm referencing, but it has been described to me in enough detail to draw the conclusion that it appears to be a direct reference to Sammy, so hopefully I'm not overstating it, but from the specific questions I asked, it appears to be.

If I had to venture a guess, it would be a release of another EVH version of one of his iconic guitars.Possibly the trans-trem Steinberger?

I'd love for something to happen; a 'finale' tour would be the only thing that would put my butt in a VH concert again. I hope you're right. However, as It' Mike has said, Van Halen could screw up a one car parade'

Yeah. Based on what I've been told, I've concluded the only reason Eddie would do what he is going to do is if Sammy were involved in some capacity. That being said, we have a long sad history with the band and things falling apart. We do know that there was at least a conversation about some kind of reunion with Mike, which may have fallen apart. It's possible that this information that I've been made aware of was in preparation for something that was going to happen, but now isn't.

Still, if the descriptions of the information that I have is accurate, and the information is released and is as described to me, then everyone will look at it and say, "Oh, that speculation makes sense."
