Default How do you rank Sammy’s post VH output??

I just had to buy Marching to Mars on ITunes as I no longer have a computer or even a CD player. I use Spotify premium and for some reason this album and Ten 13 are not on it.

Marching To Mars is a really strong album. I forgot how much i loved this one. It got me thinking that it’s easily one of his best albums from 97-19.

Those post VH albums were fucking great until Livin’ It Up IMO.

My two fave albums post VH have been Not 4 Sale and Chickenfoot III. I’m hoping Space Between is up
    there.

Marching to Mars, Red Voodoo, and Chickenfoot (debut) are my three favorite.

Red Voodoo has never really stood out to me. I like the title track better off the Lite Roast album. I do enjoy The Love with Neal Schon though.

Overall though I’d rank it below the other Wabos releases.

Livin it up and Cosmic are crap.

Not 4 Sale though, that’s a great one. Halfway to Memphis is probably my favorite Hagar tune.

I know a lot of people like it, but it just doesn't work for me.

But, a lot of people like his pre VH stuff better, and I will take MTM and 1013 over all of it. I think those two are his high points outside of VH. But that's just me. I love MTM, my favorite Sam disc, by a country mile.

Edit: Oops. I thought it was all Sammy's stuff, not just post VH. My bad.

I think the CF debut is his best work, by a long shot. I actually think only OU812 and 5150 exceed it. For anything he's ever done. CF1 kicks ass, song for song. Power record.

After that...., Marching to Mars, Not 4 Sale.

Cosmic is somewhat underrated. Livin it Up and Lite Roast were a wash. Red Voodoo and 10-13 were decent. CFIII ultimately fell short of its predecessor.

    Thumbs up

I like the first Chickenfoot album & 10/13 the best. It's hard for me decide between those two. I guess Chickenfoot is number 1 because of Satriani's awesome riffs & solos.

After that I like Marching To Mars, then Red Voodoo then Not 4 Sale. I felt let down by Chickenfoot III, it seemed rushed.

Marching to Mars and Ten13 are Sam's best solo disks post VH IMHO. Marching to Mars and Ten13 went out of print a long time ago because the companies that released them went under. Sam sells them at his shows.

CF is as good or better than the above mentioned, it's a great record.

RV is good...not great but good. Not 4 Sale never worked for me either. Few great tunes but overall I never really got into it. I HATE Whole Lotta Zep....that tune sucks.

I may be the only fan who prefers Chickenfoot III to the debut.

Marching To Mars is so good. I forgot how awesome it is.

He definitely made a better album than VH3. And had it released a year before.

I just made a 30 song Hagar Mix 97-19 on Spotify.

    Includes songs from Wabos/Chickenfoot/Circle.
