David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

SGMAD has such a fun main riff, similar in a way IMO to One Way to Rock...
The main notes and chords are obvious, yet the rests and muted notes (rhythm feel) are often lost by some cover axemen... To be fair, even Nuno stunk (IMO) at the Mean Street intro funk slap/tapping. At least in the clips I saw.

Light up the sky with Out of Love Agsin not far behind. This is the one record I tend to overplay, then forget about it a while. Every time I pull it out, Iím reminded how great it is.

They way they recorded the first records is amazing. While Queen produced and/or engineered the hell out of their records with all the over-dubbing, layering, etc, Van Halen was a couple takes and call it good. Both great. Just love the live feel of early VH.

I dig Outta Love Again. Great deep cut with one of Al's all-time best drum performances.

Waaaaay too hard to choose a favorite from this one...I could do with out Youíre No Good & Spanish Fly, but thatís just splitting hairs...

Dance, SBGMaD, BU,OLA, LUtS, DOA, BG & WiL...nope not gonna choose

Although that second solo after the cymbal tap in Outta Love Again is so good.
