    Too hard, next.
ďAnd what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever Ė that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both Ė thatís intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.Ē - David Lee Roth

Swear to God, I just listened to the Mr. Crowley solo (1st one) from Tribute, about six times in a row. Same as the Beat It one in another thread.

Randy did some wailing on GTR.

I hate to choose, because without the split from Sabbath, we wouldn't have had the great Randy Rhoads in Ozzy's band - taking guitar to the next level. I have to go with Blizzard, but there were some great tracks on Heaven and Hell as well - the title track, Neon Knights, etc.

Ian nailed it. Who would have guessed that their first albums without each other would both be classics?

Thanks to this thread, I haven't really been productive for the last ~25 mins (except for my Swanson Mexican TV dinner). I, however, have my pick: Heaven And Hell. It's more evenly great, whereas I feel that Blizzard... is a little uneven.

With that said, Randy Rhoads established himself as an absolute monster with this album. Once I heard RR tear it up on "Flying High Again" from the next album, he became one of the greatest metal guitarists ever.

    Final rating:
Heaven And Hell - 9.5 out of 10
Blizzard Of Ozz - 8.5 out of 10

    Heaven & Hell.

Better production, guitar tone & songs in general.

The only song on Blizzard that ever did it for me was Revelation Mother Earth.
