I think it's really cool that Fender are doing this. Hopefully they don't price it like Gibson do and we'll all be able to afford one

A quote from the Guitar World article:

"Two models will be produced on the production lines and two in the Fender Custom Shop, dubbed the “Limited Edition Jimmy Page Telecaster Set.” There will only be 50 of each “dragon” and “mirror” Fender Custom Shop model with Page’s handwritten signature on each headstock and his hand-painted flourishes on dragon models."

Maybe they can come out with cheaper alternatives; the Greta Van Fleet facsimile replicas!

Looks like there will be "cheaper" models as well. This was left out of the Guitar World article...

"Among the four artist signature models will be two highly collectible, limited edition Fender Custom Shop versions masterbuilt by Fender Custom Shop master builder Paul Waller — one with mirrors and the other with the painted dragon. For nearly eight months, Page has worked closely with Waller to advise throughout the process, assuring every detail was accurately recreated. Only 50 units of each Fender Custom Shop model will be made available with personal touches from Page himself, including a handwritten signature on the headstock and hand-painted flourishes on the guitar body's dragon artwork. Known for its world-renowned quality and craftsmanship, the Fender Custom Shop has built instruments for some of the world's most-esteemed guitar and bass players over the past 31 years."

    Still wont be cheap though...

I gotta say his tele was always my fave sound, Led Zeppelin's debut, plus that
awesome '69 B/W live performance on DVD, where all the kids are politely sitting.

That tele sounded so raw & angry.

    From TGP https://www.thegearpage.net/board/in...#post-27425787

Per my buddy at a dealer the Custom Shop guitars are all sold out already. So that was fast.

Production ones seem reasonably priced. Not sure if that's supposed to be public knowledge but one is mid $1k the other is mid $2k (and surprisingly the dragon is the cheaper one.) Hope the production dragon one looks cool, that's the one I'd prefer to get.
