Not sure it fit anywhere, but we all have views or beliefs that fall outside mainstream thought whether conspiracy theory etc...

What do you believe that the mass may consider crazy shit?

Me personally there is a lot but I'll go with that flight MH370 never crashed (based on a statistical argument).

A big one of mine is cures.

I believe there are real medical cures that are purposely being denied to people.

I myself have a fascination with most cryptozoology. Loch Ness, Bigfoot, yeti, kraken, chupacabra, you name it. It’s interesting to think about species that haven’t yet been discovered. More interesting to think there are species who know how to avoid us scabby humans.

Here’s what I don’t get about aliens. I’m sure there are species who’ve mastered space travel, statistically it’s near impossible to think otherwise. And it’s pretty clear that some of them have visited, and there’s compelling theories that some of them may have even seeded us. But what I don’t get is what Hawking always used to fear...it’s understandable if they don’t wanna deal with us because we’re ants to them, we’re too stupid and intellectually stunted for them to bother with us...that much I get. What I don’t get is why they haven’t taken our planet for themselves. A blue green water planet with an oxygen atmosphere and hospitable climate, ought to be a coveted item throughout the universe, common as they might be, they’re not common in this particular solar system. So given the fact we’re fucking this rock up pretty badly, why not just wipe us out and take it away from us?

The only rational explanations seem to be (1) we’re an experiment and they want to see what happens or (2) there’s some kind of galactic rule between other advanced societies that dictates a hands off policy ala the Star Trek prime directive. Short of that, I can’t figure out why they don’t just take the place for themselves.

Edit: I guess there’s one more possibility at least. Maybe planetary life is outdated to advanced species who might be able to access other dimensions or exist as energy based life forms and such. Maybe earth type planets are, beautiful as they may be, the ghettos of the corporeal plane.

I think that last bit is a stretch though. At the least we ought to be a vacation spot.

Maybe the aliens don't breath oxygen. Maybe any raw materials/natural resources they covet we don't have in abundance.

I would be surprised if we haven't been visited by aliens. For whatever reasons, so far they've been hands/tentacles off.

Yes, from what you and I know about life, on this one rock floating in the universe. On other rocks, things could be very different from anything we can imagine.

If they need water, maybe they got really good at water preservation/creation before they figured out interstellar travel.

Unlikely.

Whatever powers that be beyond this world...are also clearly hands off in regards to us.

They/He/She could give a red fuck if we’re conquered and slaughtered by little gray aliens with big eyes.

A lot of theories but I leave it at I do not know. The lack of crash is because none of the satellites over that part of the globe designed to pick up the frequency of ELT never detected a pulse. In a water crash you still would get a burst although the signal would be brief. There were 11 ELT 4 engine, 2 life boat and 5 affixed to the plane structure. The life boat ones are designed to work in water like ULB or pingers. They are made by 3 different manufacturers with 3 different frequencies, and in no way are connected to the planes power or electrical system. They do not interact with each other either. There have been a rare occasion the ELT in the life boats have failed (once a battery issue, 2 times a physical obstruction issue). The Honeywell ones however have never in the history of aviation failed. They work on a 406 frequency and in the area there are 2 weather satellites dedicated to picking up 406 frequency, no burst occurred.

To believe a crash means that 11 catastrophic and independent failures had to occur. Statistically given 2 of the 3 have never failed the probability of that is essentially zero. I have no logical reason of what happened but the Immarstat data that is basis for the route projection south and I do not believe that it is real after the gap in data etc... geeky tech stuff about Boeing 777 on why that data can not be real etc.... Anyway no theory on what did happen just math don't lie so I firmly believe it did not crash or make contact with salt water.

If aliens do exist then I think maybe there's a glass ceiling in regard to interstellar travel and that the distances between the stars is just too great, 'cause while I've studied the subject quite a lot and have seen some very interesting unexplained cases I have still never seen reasonably definitive proof that we have been/are being visited.
I cannot say with confidence one way or the other, but I'm leaning these days towards our being all alone out here, and possibly alone in the universe.
So maybe our earth is a total anomaly. Yeah, seems like a lot of wasted space then, but we do not know the mind of God where distances of space and time are no obstacle whatsoever. It's impossible for us to wrap our embodied and temporal minds around that.
