ALAE Leftovers?
I'm sure no DLR singing, but interesting nonetheless. December 7th:
https://allthatshreds.com/jason-beck...-december-7th/
Uli Jon Roth appears on ‘Magic Woman,’ along with ex-Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick who counts both Uli and Jason as big influences. Fans of Jason’s work with David Lee Roth will be thrilled by the inclusion of two previously unreleased outtakes from the ‘A Little Ain’t Enough’ sessions, the hard rocking ‘Taking Me Back’ and the blues-infused ‘Tell Me No Lies.’Dave

CRAIG GOLDY: How I Ended Up Co-Writing 'Lady Luck' With DAVID LEE ROTH
Former DIO guitarist Craig Goldy spoke to Australia's The Rockpit about the experience of co-writing the song "Lady Luck" with David Lee Roth on the VAN HALEN singer's 1991 album "A Little Ain't Enough". Asked how the collaboration came about, Goldy said: "Well, I was a songwriter for Warner Brothers for about six years. I would submit my songs to be considered by other famous musicians to be utilized on their albums. Then, one day the phone rings and my girlfriend answers it. Well, you'd think it was the president of the United States on the other end, judging by the look on her face. So I pick it up and a voice on the other end says, 'Hey, man, Dave Lee Roth here. Love your shit, man. Can we get together and write some stuff? Here's my producer.' And at the time, it was Bob Ezrin, who had worked with the likes of PINK FLOYD. So I'm, like, hang on — Dave Lee Roth and Bob Ezrin want me to write some tunes with them.' So they give me an address and I get there and I'm playing them ideas, and Dave's, like, 'That's badass, man,' and he's grabbing my arm and patting my back. [Laughs]"
He continued: "So [Dave] invited me to his home every day for three months — and he's such a nice guy. He would always ask how you were doing today and pat your back like a brother would to another brother and ask if you needed anything. Then we'd head down into the basement and he had all the VAN HALEN road cases down there, which were just so cool. So, the studio was also the rehearsal room, so he'd get the band to learn the ideas we had put together — and, lucky for me, 'Lady Luck' made it through the sifter and on to the album."
Goldy added: "You know, Dave is a real smart guy too. After every writing session, it would just be us two out on the patio watching the sunset and talking. On the second level, he had a pool with all those rock-climbing grip things all around it, and he'd get me to try climb all around the pool, but there was this one bit that was tilted too much and I would always fall off [laughs], but he could do it. He was such a funny guy, but there is so much more to him as well."
Goldy joined DIO during the "Sacred Heart" tour in 1986 after original guitarist Vivian Campbell was fired from the band following a contentious business disagreement with the singer and Ronnie's management.
Goldy's new band, DREAM CHILD, released its debut album, "Until Death Do We Meet Again", on September 14 via Frontiers Music Srl. Joining the guitarist in the group are Wayne Findlay (MSG) on guitar and keyboards, Simon Wright (AC/DC, DIO, OPERATION: MINDCRIME) on drums, Rudy Sarzo (QUIET RIOT, OZZY OSBOURNE, WHITESNAKE, DIO) on bass, and Diego Valdez (HELKER) on vocals.Dave

I have to assume he's much different than the 'Dave' you see on camera..but doesn't explain why Ed still hates him. Other than he doesn't like anyone without a Van in their last name

Ideally David really could've & should've contributed to Jason's album. Poor guy's been stuck in a wheelchair over 25 years now I think this albums been a long time in the making & now he finally got it done. He probably would've been tickled pink if David whipped up some new lyrics & laid down vocals on these 2 ALAE tunes. Uli Roth showed up. Dave Roth didn't.
Obviously cant pass negative critical judgement without knowing what the score is but seems like a lost opportunity. David also could've appeared in Jason's Not Dead Yet Documentary Film. I guess he sent some dough to the Ice Bucket thingy a few years back so theres that at least.

Jason Becker had some good things to say about EVH in an interview a few years ago. Not so much about Dave.

It's in a published interview. I can find it somewhere when I have time. It's not so much about the time when Jason was working with Dave, it's more about Dave not checking on him after he had left the band due to his illness (if I remember correctly).

Remember that tv clip where Eddie was with Jason, and talking about ALS etc.?
I've only seen very low generation quality of that brief video, and I wish there was one in higher resolution. Albeit, I haven't searched in a while.

The interviews I have read he spoke well of DLR, if I recall he said DLR was in a Rolling Stone type mood when they did ALAE, and that he had a lot of songs written at the time that VH fans would have really liked. But over time that might have changed if he felt DLR had not stayed within his circle.
Every time I see or read about Jason, I just can't imagine. Poor guy.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Dave is and always has been very private about his relationships and philanthropic activities so no it is not a surprise he would not be highlighted. Anyone that deals with him knows that. He is an old soul and still does things like handwritten notes and letters etc.... The Anthony thing only became public by accident, otherwise it would remain quiet as well. It is just his old soul way. Yes the Roth family as a whole has been supportive of Jason.

Yep. Looking cool has always been his thing. He is cool. I remember He wore bright dayglo neon yellow at the Seattle bumper shoot show in Seattle back in 2001. For whatever reason he likes...
