Balance was released 7 years ago today.

So since then they recorded 2 songs, kicked Dave out. And released VH III.

So in a nutshell in 7 years, two songs and one album.

BOV1 and the remasters do not count as doing something. Those were just make money, kill time, do no work tactics.

Don't forget "Humans Being" and though only credited to Ed 'n Al - "Respect The Wind" - could probably toss that "That's Why I Love You" everyone's always talkin' 'bout in there, too!

I became a fan right around that time. Maybe I cursed them.

You became a fan around the time of their last great release, Dan Halen. As much as I'm a Dave-era fan, I think BALANCE is an incredible album!

I'll second that! I'll be watching the PPV in 7 as well. Can't believe that was the second to last show that they would end up doing together. What a waste.

Guys, I saw Balance in Edmonton Sept.11/95. Freaky huh? That was something I thought about momentarily on Sept.11/01...
God Speaks to us through the Bible. If He could play the guitar, he'd play it through Eddie Van Halen.

I was at the Balance show in Ottawa. I think it was Aug.20th 1995, unbelievably wicked show. I was in general admission and the crowd was absolutely rockin that night. Lot's of pot, a couple of foreworks and Mike throwing Heineken into the crowd-TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! Sammy was unbelievably animated taht night and really egged on the crowd. At the end of the show he promised they would be back but I guess we all know how that story turned out.

I was at the Pay-Per-View show in Toronto. It was a great show! I still felt like I was seeing more of a journeyman's Van Halen, but it was a very fun show. I was a little disappointed when I watched the pay-per-view and saw that several songs were cut out. From the version I have (from Canadian Pay-Per-View) they cut out AFTERSHOCK, JUMP, YOU REALLY GOT ME, AIN'T TALKIN' 'BOUT LOVE, the RUNNIN' WITH THE DEVIL/ONE WAY TO ROCK thingy and the bass solo. Oh well. It's still a great show, but trust me. It was even more exciting being in the audience by the lake than watching it on T.V.!!
