Yet no way in hell do I or would I - personally.- put WACF over OU812, DD over FUCK, or ADKoT over Balance.

Not just a singer bias. Also a song thing, a range and diversity thing, an overall production thing, and a listening enjoyment thing. But to each their own.

It is all subjective, but there is no way in hell I could ever put OU812 over WACF. I can understand your arguments for FUCK over DD and maybe even Balance over ADKOT, but WACF just completely slays OU812. Give me the young and hungry VH with Eddie in full gunslinger mode over the older and more mature VH with Eddie tickling the ivories all day long.

ADKOT loses many points because Mike’s not on it, it has too many redone demos, and Ed’s tone is a total buzzsaw.

Hard to argue with those points. It could have been SO much better. I just don't care that much for a good portion of Balance.

It loses a few points for a couple of vocal flaws that aren't related to Mike, yet I don't want to ruffle any feathers....

Also the 'faders fully in the red' style of mixing and mastering. There wasn't a whole lot of space or dynamics. At least not in the way we're used to from VH.

I do still like ADKoT for what it is and for what it gave us.

No worries. We got young and hungry VH on the first two albums as well. No disputing that! And I do like WACF quite a bit, believe it or not. Just between that one and OU812, I give the nod to the one that touches me more on a personal level.
