Story of Loyce Deen. Gunner on a Navy Avenger. Killed by anti-aircraft fire during battle of Manila Bay, 1944. His body was too badly damaged to be removed from the aircraft so he was buried at sea in it. I'll have to repost this on Memorial Day.

The B-52, first flown in the 50's, continues on. Hasn't heard of the B-21, looks like an updated B-2.

If that is supposed to replace the B-52, that is going to be one giant stealth bomber if they aim to duplicate bomb load.

Well I've done some reading in the last few hours or so. Typical Himmler I suppose. Awful what some of those kids had to go thru after the war.

Interesting that the blonde girl from ABBA was one of them.

Eventually that is the plan I believe. But no way they can carry the tonnage that the 52 can.

I've always enjoyed the British remark that the Yanks were "Over payed, over sexed and over here". The American rebuttal being that the Brits were "Under payed, under sexed, and under Eisenhower".
