Eyes of the Night vs. Big Trouble

Okay all you old schoolers ...

EOTN: This song I heard for the first time on a boot that was recorded in 76' at the pasadena community college. The boot was called "Eyes of the Night" and had a pretty long set-list for a young VH! The whole concert was kick-ass and filled with that VH intensity.

Needless to say what stuck in my mind about that song was the damn chorus. It's funny cause all VH tunes have great changes and choruses.

BT: This song I first heard recently on a napster boot which also had a chorus which didn't have that great chorus part but had changes in it that blew my mind as a guitar player. This song ever since I heard it puzzles me everytime I listen to it. Why wasn't it on any of the first 6 alblums?

I think BT was the best song they never released in any form.. lotsa other good ones - like say 'voodoo queen' at least partially saw the light of day

I belive BT was considered for both vh2 & DD, Glenn or someone might be be able to clarify that. still its a bit of a mystery

Eyes Of The Night is good too, but BIG TROUBLE is the KING!!!!!!!!!

Big Trouble was apparently considered for both Diver Down and 1984. It is a great song, one of the best they ever did that never saw the light of day. I'd definitely say that Big Trouble is a better song than Eyes of the Night.

Tuff question E-Night. I dig both of them alot, but BT is a notch above. EOTN certainly doesn't suck though. Damn I haven't heard EOTN in quite sometime. Thanks for the remind and shit. Out.
