Punk rock did whatever it wanted. There were no boundaries. So while a lot of it would jive with progressives today, a lot of it certainly would not, and progressives today would go into a cancel frenzy were many of these relatively well known punk acts of the 70's/80's were around today and getting any mainstream attention.
Any wannabe punk band getting any mainstream notariety today would need to be as progressively pc as anything else that's in view of the cancel mob.
PC punk isn't punk at all.

Ian's definitely singing counter to any acceptable progressive narrative here. While many blacks would agree with this song, the white liberal and reparations hypocrites would fly into canceling fit.

    Couldnít disagree more.

Punk was fighting against PC back in the 70ís and 80ís. Itís all relative and it was never about race, back in the day. Contrary to what some may think, I donít think all that much has changed.

Parents in the 70ís thought KISS and AC/DC was the devilís music. Today the adults think rap and Top 40 music is shit.

Itís all relative. Punk can still work.

Yet it is still on YouTube just like it could be today. Anyhow those bands started in clubs where I am sure there still exists people who would like the rebellious type of music and grow fans.

Just to be clear I detest cancel culture.

That was 1981, fellas, and FEAR was the creme de la creme of the Socal punk scene. FEAR could never exist today at the level they achieved then, getting played on the radio, appearing on SNL, etc. That video I posted is a relic of a bygone age.

    One of Phil's best.

Rita Hayworth or Ava Gardner, who would you rather nail? I disqualify myself, because I’ve done 'em both.

Juror in Floyd case lied in questionnaire.... Attended BLM rally and was basically an activist.

The verdict in this trial was activism and/or fear. Nothing more.

The judge should have moved the trial. He didn't probably because he is a coward.

I still believe the verdict was something more than fear, or activism.

I was always surprised the trial wasn't moved. Since it wasn't, the issue was destined to be part of the appeals process.

The evidence was clear in this case. Chauvin killed Floyd. The video shows a complete and intentional lack of regard for human life. That simply cannot be argued.

But itís also becoming clearer that this verdict might very well be overturned and be scheduled for retrial.

Itís a shame because justice was done. This cop was/is/and always will be guilty, but thereís just too many mitigating factors that had the potential to impact impartiality.
