They don’t change because the parties have worked in cahoots to make sure they don’t have to. Republicans play to their base and Democrats play to theirs and then they work together to exclude any competitors so everyone feels compelled to choose one or the other.
So what happens when the Republicans screw up? It’s not like some sort of dark horse is going to replace them. The Democrats will.
You don’t have to change much in a duopoly.

Musk has zero political knowledge/culture. None. Do not give him any political power, ever.
And I'd like to know how his triplets and twins are doing. The dude has 6 kids, including triplets and twins. And runs 3 companies. Let me tell you, some stuff is going to come out in the next few years about this. Yes, he's good, but same as you and me, his days only have 24 hours. The stuff he's not taking care of is going to come back and bite him in the ass. And I say this after having met him and knowing him a little bit.Little Dreamer

POLITICAL BLOTTER
It’s an indictment more than a feature that only a billionaire could run.
The Reform Party has less juice than the Libertarians these days.
Point still stands there’s a little incentive for change when at worst you’ll just get your job back next time.
Hell, it’s the reason some of these things don’t ever get solved. It’s better for the parties to run on them when the other party screws up than it is to actually solve them.

Musk couldn't run for president, he wasn't born here. Well unless he found out where Obama got his birth certificate made and did the same.
Easy now it was a bad joke....really. Musk would not want to lose all that money to become president...oh wait a minute.![]()

SHAME SHAME SHAME
A gaggle of billionaires could create a party. The only issue would be that Big Tech would likely prevent it from happening. Big Tech has invested millions and millions of dollars into Democrat campaigns. They have influence over X amount of people in the legislative and executive branch. So Google, AWS, Facebook, Microsfot, Apple, etc are perfectly fine being another branch of the DNC> You create an app and they don't liike it. IT doesn't get published. You need their cloud to run it and if they don't like it, its shut down. Twitter could join that again if the acquisition doesn't go through
So if there is a direct threat to the two party system, the Democrats have the ability to shut it down with their influence on tech. Hunter Biden's laptop is a perfect example
Bezos won't benefit having a party attached to him. He already has that. Tesla could despite the dirt on him. Most people do not care about that stuff. Its like he makes a comment about voting Republican and immediately a sexual allegation appears. If you hate the guy, you won't change your mind about him. Shit people wil vote for Trump, Pelosi, Biden, etc. All are crooks. They say he is a moderate and who knows he could drum up support for a 3rd party but then if that happens, you will have DNC and GOP fighting it.
Its not impossible. That said I don't see it happening outside of maybe if a few guys get together. Bezos however wouldn't be a part of it sionce he is basically owns the Democratic party
