Fucking brilliant. That was Walker's way of opposing the Green New Deal in that the US's efforts would essentially do nothing because China won't help the cause.

I wouldn't be opposed to a discussion over term limits, but I have read that, where implemented, they end up often having the opposite impact than intended, so that is worth bringing into the discussion. You end up with lobbyists running the show more than they do now, because lawmakers never have a chance to accrue experience and they rely more on those people who know how it all works, the lobbyists. That permanent establishment gets even more influence. We have already seen a ton of influence pass on to the executive, and studies show this happens even more in states with term limits.

Again, not totally opposed to it, but it's very possible it would actually make things worse. So are there other solutions?

If Walker were smart, he would have had a better answer ready. It's not hard to come up with an answer that could get people who would raise an eyebrow to rally behind.

At the same time, if this issue, abortion, is something that drives you as a voter, someone who cheered for the Roe/Casey reversal...it's hard to get to the end of the Walker story without coming to the conclusion he paid someone to commit a murder, right? Regardless of the law...isn't that, like, really bad? And of course the response is that the other person on the ballot wants to use public funds to pay for all kinds of murders. So Walker is the better vote. I get that. Sort of.

How about neither? I get surrendering the vote means the other person wins. But it doesn't have to mean that. This, right here, is the box the duopoly falsely puts us in. Because it is insanely easy for a Democrat or Republican to get on a ballot and insanely hard for anyone else, an evangelical voter or someone who believes abortion is murder is forced to choose between someone they know actually did it and someone who wants to do it a lot.

You might not agree fully with another candidate, if one such existed on the ballot, but you might have enough in common, and perhaps they never paid for, nor want anyone else to pay for abortion, and that's a better, moral choice in that scenario than what is there now.

Why we let ourselves get whittled down to these lowest common denominator choices without asking ourselves, "What in the fucking fuck?" is beyond me.

Better yet, when asked about about the woman on Hannity's show, he pulled the Trump excuse, "I don't know her." Turns out the woman who had the abortion is the mother of one of his kids...then Brian Kilmeade from Fox had asked Herschel in another interview, based on details whether "he had figured out the woman’s identity, based on details in the original report." Walker's response: “Not at all,” Walker replied. “And that’s what I hope everyone can see. It’s sort of like everyone is anonymous, or everyone is leaking, and they want you to confess to something you have no clue about.”

    Ooops....

LOL, Walker says he doesn't know this woman, but they had a kid together after this abortion? That's about right.

I think Walker's a grade A douche but I have to raise an eyebrow over the timing of this "revelation" just a month before the election that he possibly paid for his girlfriends abortion who conveniently left out that she also has a living son via Walker as well until 2 days later. There should be an easy paper trail beyond the cashed check for both of these things, not to mention simple DNA testing (which I'm sure Walker will balk at undergoing). Then you have that spastic swishy son posting twitter clips... ugh.
