Yes but one needs to remember all of Satch's career. Particularly his stints playing guitar for Mick Jagger, and Deep Purple. I feel he drew on that a lot for CF. On CFIII, there's a "Stones" vibe in his rhythm playing, and i feel it works well on songs like "Alright Alright Alright." He decided to stay away from playing riffs like "Crushing Day" or "Summer Song" - a good idea in my opinion. When it comes to rhythm playing on songs, Satch is a new kid on the block, guitar god or not. His instrumentals have verses, but built in a different way than if there was a singer. And for a first timer, he did remarkably well. Not "Unchained"-level well, but still very good.
