Also----while I'm at it....posting like a stupid piseed off asshole....

    I want to say.....

    There were THREE.....THREE.....

3 songs David worked on @ 5150 in early 1985.....

I see comments all over the place all the time when I surf but cant stop & post at the time....

The 3 THREE songs DLR worked on in demo scat vocal form in early 1985 were......

    1- Good Enough
    2- Summer Nights
3- Sucker In A THREE Piece Suit

YES- Sucker In A Three Piece Suit....

& I can't tell you how much it annoys the hell out of me to post the same factoids & clearly see NO ONE AT ALL has ANY semblance of memory at all....

Bass Fronteirs magazine has an interview with Michael Anthony after 5150 came out & he mentions Sucker In A 3 Piece Suit as one of the tunes they were working on before David officially split....

DAN HEDGES Guitar Magazine journalist listed these 3 same songs in his 1985 paperback book about EVH.

Sucker In A Three Piece Suit...IS one od DAVID's VH tunes worked on in 1985 before the official breakup.

No idea why anyone else doesn't find that to be an insightful exciting cool VH trivia tidbit....

    Nope....

Tommorrow or the next day....& next month...& next year.....the 3 songs topic will come up again & again & again....& NO ONE will retain the Sucker In A Three Piece Suit as being one of the 3 tunes trivia info...

    Nope- .....

I guess because it wasnt used until the following album confuses fans. But its in print directly from Michael Anthonys mouth & Dan Hedges EVH paperback biography.

But yet- VH fans....many whom post all the time over 20 years seem oblivious to this simple documented in print fact.

Groundgogs day all day every day with VH fans on the net same old story same old song & dance
There's an interview with Sobolewsky here at The Links with the same stuff.
We already discussed that thing to the bone over at the CVH.com forum as well.

    Hello !
    First post here.

I don't care if Right here, right now is not a true live album.
The sound is overpowered and personnaly, that's the only thing i desire from a VH live album
And it has a live feelin', wich is the most important.
At that time, the band spent time on the sound of albums.
I avoid to listen the Tokyo dome concert from 2015 after this one, my ears can't stand it !
Van Halen without drums is not Van Halen for me...

So im guessing "Good enough ", "Summer nights " and "Sucker" had Dave lyrics, before they got the Sammy treatment?

I still love watching the dvd regardless of all the odd editing. It sounds great and there are lots of close ups of Eds Musicman, what's not to love :-) Plus we dont have much in the way of VH on stage so i will take what i can get.

I can't get by listening to a live album in which the only live part about it is the crowd noise.

Makes no fucking sense, they were without a doubt the best live band on the planet at that point. But, that is the VH modus operandi, "let's do shit that makes zero sense!"

I hear you DD, i guess maybe i lean to the album as VH was new to me when this was released and back then no one had a clue about the way it was edited etc, the new vinyl version sounds incredible which is all i am fussed about. Why they did what they did though makes no sense i agree.

Interesting thread and cool seeing all the old nics! I think KISS was one of the first major bands to do something like this. When they released Alive in 1975 everyone was blown away, including myself. But little did we know it wasn't really a live album. At the time they denied any hanky-panky but over the years they finally acknowleged the truth. Since then a lot of other live albums have come under scrutiny but who's to know what is real and what is not. These days with all the advanced tech we have, AI will be making new live releases from all our fave bands. And don't forget the new KISS avatars coming soon. Gene was always ahead of the curve!
