Just watched the DDL video again...Whoa!
Ed's solo is really something. Not the best I've seen on this tour so far, but you can tell he's in the zone and going for broke.

I used to wish I could play like Eddie...Now I wish I could improvise like him! Haha

I can't believe that Edward and Alex are this fucking good at 60+.

I was on the fence for this tour, so my friends and I ended up only doing the lawn. Even though we were watching VH on TV in the rain, it was worth it! Man I love this music!!! (Wolf, thanks for the sick setlist)

On a side note, I am OLD! Getting home at 1am and leaving for work at 4:30 was rough!
it's funny... Dave has these "new" alternate ways of singing some of these songs and sections. And for him... he's spot on and consistent with the "new" way (ie. he always sings DTNA the same way I think) .... but it's off from how it was on record or whatever

This show was amazing. I had front row VIP tickets. Also I was able to get the pick Eddie threw after they finished the Song Little Guitars. It was worth getting even though I fought over it with someone and me and the other person ended up on the concrete floor. My body still hurts from last night because what happened but I consider this the best Van Halen concert I ever went to.

Oh is that what it's called? Anyone know the back story? Pretty cool looking..I approve.

Much better sound quality on these vids and great pix! Like Jim Florentine tweeted, you have to see them live to get the true experience, but some of these vids come close.

I'm surprised in a way with these reviews that they seem to keep ragging on Dave's vocals. I think It's apparent he's really been trying and sounds good for the most part.

Will Eddie Trunk be showing up at any of these N.Y. shows? He seemed really pumped early on for this tour to take off. I haven't taken the opportunity to know what he's currently saying. Would he be welcome? Kind of a gray area for me to figure.

I just watched the videos from Hartford. They were killing it!
Definitely a better show than Cleveland.

I may have to roadtrip to Detroit to catch one more show.

The 3 concert photos above and first 6 below, as well as most videos below, are from "Sickman" from VHLinks, who's pictured here with his family at the Hartford show. His son Alex is wearing the concert jersey that dad got at his very first Van Halen concert, back in 1984, in Hartford.

I'm home from gallbladder surgery and the first thing I see is the pic of Ed playing the star guitar.

I've now smiled for the first time in 4 days.
