Didn't matter. Tommy was an unpredictable wildcard. Even Paulie said he was a cowboy with too much to prove.

And how dare you criticize that great movie. Do it again and I make a phone call. Capisce??

That’s actually an interesting point. Never once thought of that.

That being said, as Jimmy has mentioned, Tommy was crazy. He had the ability to snap at any moment.

Fun fact. That entire scene with Pesci and Liotta was actually something that happened to Pesci when he was younger. Pesci essentially brought the idea to Marty and they wrote it into the movie.

Says Marty like he knows him. It's like somebody calling Robert Plant "Bob".

The Republican Party is giving him that power. They should just cut him out of it.

Think of how quick the Democrats moved on from Al Gore. You lost? Oh, yeah, we know, you might have actually won, but you didn't, so, see ya.

For all the yelling about "winners", Republicans sure do have a death grip on a loser.
Despite what anyone may think of them or their tactics, the Dem party did a pretty effective job of marginalizing Sanders who to a degree was their "Trump" the past 2 elections.

It's not the year 2000 anymore. It's a different environment in someways._. Truthfully, the dem establishment havent moved on that much though.

We're moving back to 2010 now.

I don't think Trump running in 2024 will win...

I think the Repubs probablywill lose no matter who they put up... Whomever runs will get the same treatment. They'll be promoted as just another Trump anyway.

That includes Haley... Who is just a grifter anyway.

The idea that promoting 2000's era politicians is a way to right the ship for the Repubs is just not a reality.

If it didnt work in 2008 or 2012, why would it work now?

Trump got the most votes of any Repub while rallying against the establishment....You don't go back to that mundane tripe now.

Instead, you run someone more articulate than Trump who will not bowdown to the media , big tech and all of that.

I said this months ago... If folks think the Republicans can cut Trump lose and move on like in the past... It wasnt ever going to happen.

As for Liz... There are way more reasons to kick her out than not. She needs to go.

That had done started wain by 2012. He lost 60 seats in 2010.

The only reason Bush won in 2004 was because people were still drinking the kool-aid in terms of our wars.

If neocons were what was desired they would have got their guy nominated in 2016.

The loyal Trumpers are Republican voters because they are the party of Trump at the moment. They dismiss Trump, many of those voters go away.

That is what the Republicans are afraid of. They are a shrinking party and this would exacerbate it.

They need to bite the bullet and reshape their party.

There are a LOT of people unhappy with the Democratic Party and would be more than happy to jump ship to a morally liberal fiscally conservative party.

If the Republican Party re-focused themselves as a party of limited government intervention in your personal life, but working on big ticket items that helped all Americans, that's a winning combo.

They're not going to drop warmongering and the drug war as long as the establishment has enough power to keep things going.

These people are stuck in the past.

But in that life, I’m not so sure.

The term “friend” has a very loose definition.
