I don’t know why they are so scared of him, dude is the laziest politician there’s ever been. Now that he’s banned from social media, if he does anything besides eat McDonalds like everything’s on the dollar menu, play golf, and waddle up to the Sundae Bar at Mar Lago, I’d be highly surprised. Oh I’m sure he’ll hold rallies about how great he was, maybe he’ll dispatch the kids to launch a media site or Network, but he will spend zero effort doing anything that doesn’t celebrate the greatness of Trump.

I don’t think anyone is scared of him I think those with a brain realize it’s complete waste of taxpayers money to bother with anything with regards to him anymore. I’m going to be furious if we waste one dollar prosecuting him. He’s no more crooked than any other politician. Some of these career assholes like Biden are the ones I don’t trust at all. They are the ones that bow down to internal pressure and the ones that don’t give a shit about their constituents, just lining their pockets. It’s the career politicians you need to worry about. Trump is gone, it’s over. He has no power to do anything. Done. Finished.

Honestly, I was surprised. And I’m someone who was told I’d gone crazy because I believed him to be uniquely awful.

Turns out he was and he still surprised me.

But this stuff never, ever recedes. So someone will try this again, but even more brazen, if we just decide it was worth admonishing but no real action. And someday, it’ll be a politician you despise.

The peaceful transfer of power is at the heart of our republic. I believe the unity is in respecting that by making sure it’s known there are repercussions.

I understand you disagree, but it amazes me so many people (not you) are more upset about kneeling during the anthem than they are about the Capitol.

Trump’s impeachment defense team quit today.

There was disagreement on the defense. The lawyers wanted to focus on the legality of impeachment of a former POTUS.

Trump wanted them to argue massive election fraud and that he was the true winner of the election.

He already had trouble finding these lawyers and now legal briefs are due next week and he has no defense team.

Many of you really don't understand the depth of support for Trump and why the Republicans are still backing him.

I see it every day in my life. There isn't one day that goes by that I don't hear "this election was stolen" or rigged.

Trump is an enigma. His base isn't registered Republican. They're registered Trump voters and they believe he was railroaded.

I'm inclined or sympathetic to their cause myself but for the greater good I say let it go. He is for better or worse THE most popular Republican right now and will be for many years to come. Many HATE that fact but c'est la vie. It is what it is and why the establishment is sticking with him because they don't know what else to do. They're worried about mid terms etc.

The man is popular with the base. I know that grinds peoples gears but oh well.

He will be a force for a long time. Probably best to keep this thread open.
