In some ways I think it would be beneficial in the long run for the Saudis to just get it over with and partner up with China, Russia and Iran. We have indirectly given them weight in the international discourse that we should not have given them due to our partnering with them, even though we are polar opposites.

For me, my patience has run out with these autocratic nations.

While our way is not perfect, I will go ahead and say it's better. Lines are being drawn, and it might finally come down to a fight, Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Israel, Australia and Japan vs the Middle East and BRICS.

We have given these countries every chance to become democratic, to support human rights and freedom, and if anything, they have tightened their reigns. China is becoming at an alarming rate a dystopian police state, it's fucking scary what is going on in their major cities, it's right out of a sci-fi novel. Russia got a 2nd chance after the fall of the Soviet Union, and they've just become a weaker version of the USSR.

In short...fuck'em. If Saudi Arabia wants to align with Iran, let them. Pull our troops out and let them. Again, fuck them. Fuck Iran. Fuck China. Fuck India. Fuck Brazil.

While we are at it, fuck Mexico too. Yeah, a lot of that is our fault, but they could still put an end to it if they wanted to.

I am firmly convinced that the world is at a tipping point, between freedom and autocracy.

Dependent upon how you want to set the parameters, about a 1/3rd of the world's population lives in democratic countries, with 2/3rds of the world's population living in flat out dictatorships, or countries that are democracies in name only.

In many ways, it is worse now than at the start of WWII, the only difference is that there was a very tired and worn out Europe in the way in 1939, where now there is the good ole USA. For all our problems, for all our mistakes, let no one lead you away from this point: we are the only thing holding the wolves at bay.

Dude, we have Iranians fucking with us, Russia actively knocking military hardware out of the sky, china being china and inflation and costs are soaring nationwide. Not to mention, the American public has no faith in the treasury and our banking system.

So let me put it to you another way, what else has to change in order for you to see that however evil or incorrect or treasonous Trump is, that he REALLY is the lesser of 2 evils.

I vote with my wallet. And my wallet is a lot lighter now in 2023 than when trump was in office. I’ve tried to be as positive as I can with Biden and give dude a chance. But the economy is in tatters.

Stock market, banks, inflation, foreign affairs, interest rates, housing markets have all taken a shit under his watch.

Either he needs a rabbits foot or he really sucks at his job.

I'm certainly not saying that the Biden experiment is working.

At this point, it's looking like 2024 will be another throw-away-3rd party vote year for me in terms of POTUS.

In my state the Presidential vote is basically predetermined anyway. Local votes mean more to me here.
