The point remains that everything the right freaked out about with Biden and foriegn influence, but couldn't prove, not even enough to move forward with impeachment, Trump is now doing in the open and boasting about it on social media. It's not just the plane, but it goes back to foreign leaders spending money at Trump properties, openly saying they were doing it for favors, and Trump cypto, openly doing so for favors in US policy, and that's just the start.

And yes, the AG who approved this, said there was nothing wrong with it, was a registered foreign for Qatar. (No conflict of interest, there, right?)

Lone Democrat’s Trump impeachment push blindsides party

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ leadership team believed they had successfully convinced one of their famously rogue members — Rep. Shri Thanedar — not to force the party into an untimely vote on impeaching President Donald Trump.

Then Thanedar did it anyway.

The Michigan Democrat had personally signaled to his party’s leadership in recent weeks that he would not offer his articles of impeachment against Trump, according to three people familiar with the conversation.

But the two-term Michigan Democrat blindsided leadership and his Democratic colleagues when he decided to go ahead with the move anyways, the people familiar said. His maneuver — which comes as he faces a tough primary challenger this cycle — will now force the full House to take a vote later Wednesday on whether to advance those impeachment articles.

The level of disinterest among those who banged on about the "BIden crime family" should be astonishing but it isn't. We knew the corruption was returning and we knew there was huge tolerance for the fuckery that happens in a Trump regime. There is no longer a line to cross.

Screaming corruption because he might accept a plane as AF1 which would go into a library after his term. Boeing is embarrassingly not delivering on a plane that was ordered years ago and this was offered .

There have been plenty of discussions on here about the grift in the Biden Administration, but as has been mentioned earlier, your memory of anything happening pre 2025 has conveniently disappeared.

Whether or not Biden was grifting out of this mind has zero impact on whether or not it should be ok for Trump to do it.

The plane is a fucking bribe, coming from a known backer of terrorist organizations. And it is very convenient to say, "we will see in four years whether or not he keeps it", as if anyone will give a shit by then. If it is to be given to America, it can't be used by the POTUS, no matter who it is, otherwise it has the appearance of impropriety.

And that is the true test of independence, it is not only being independent, but appearing independent, and a sitting POTUS accepting a $400M gift from a nation what he does significant personal business with, and that is also a known terror financier is not appearing independent, and only the most ardent Trump ball washer would dream of saying it is.

I would argue that it is pretty obvious that at a bare minimum his son and brother were making money off of Joe being POTUS, and that Joe was aware of it, if not personally benefitting from it.
