Trump wasn't even named in the indictment, so, I think that article might have some click-bait in the title.

Could be wrong. I am no legal scholar, but I would think someone would have to be actually named before the grand jury if charges were going to be levied.

NY Times story just dropped. The basics:

When we got word the Durham investigation had become criminal, it didn’t leak how. People had theories. Trump had theories. We know now that it was a criminal investigation of Donald Trump over financial crimes based upon a tip from Italian officials. It didn’t have anything to do with Durham’s investigation, but Barr let him look into it. Charges were not filed. We know little about the tip, nor how seriously Durham investigated it, at least for now.

Durham went after private emails from George Soros based upon information in a dubious Russian intelligence memo. A judge twice rejected this, so he used grand jury powers to do it, which caused a split and dissent on the team. They also yielded no evidence used by Durham.

The resignation of Durham’s number 2, Nora Dannehy, was over a series of disagreements of prosecutorial ethics. Another prosecutor quit over the Sussman indictment after multiple prosecutors objected to the indictment because it was too flimsy. (A jury very quickly acquired Sussman.)

A problem occurred after Durham was assigned—the IG issued a report saying there was no evidence of political motivations to start the Russia investigation and “an Australian diplomat’s tip that a Trump campaign adviser had seemed to disclose advance knowledge that Russia would release hacked Democratic emails — had been sufficient to lawfully open it.” Durham tried to encourage the IG to withdraw the claim that the investigation was justified. When he wouldn’t, he and Barr, minutes before the report was issued, publicly stated the investigation began “without any basis.”

And as we know now, “As Mr. Durham’s inquiry proceeded, he never presented any evidence contradicting Mr. Horowitz’s factual findings about the basis on which F.B.I. officials opened the investigation.”

Dependent upon the advice he gave Trump, and how involved he was with the legal coup strategy, I think him getting disbarred might be letting him off easy.

You don't have a failed coup attempt and expect to not get a little dirty.

French-Canadian leftist extremist Pascale Ferrier has been sentenced to nearly 22 years in prison, being found guilty on biological weapons charges for sending letters laced with ricin to former President Donald J. Trump.

Ms Ferrier, 55, pled guilty to the charges against her, admitting to sending the ricin-laced letters to then-President Trump in September of 2020, mailing the letters from Canada.

After pleading guilty to the charges of biological weaponry, Ferrier told a U.S. judge in Washington D.C. she needed “to move on now” and was sentenced to 21 years and 10 months in prison, the CBC reports.

“I analyzed and weighed all possible options. These plea agreements are not the best but the least deleterious design by the criminal ‘injustice’ system,” Ferrier told the court.

Ferrier, who was born in France before moving to the French-speaking province of Quebec, was arrested at the U.S.-Canada border in September of 2020 after she had mailed the poison-laced letter, which also demanded that President Trump drop out of from his re-election bid.

“So I made a ‘special gift’ for you to make a decision. This gift is in this letter,” Ferrier wrote and added, “If it doesn’t work, I’ll find better recipe for another poison, or I might use my gun when I’ll be able to come. Enjoy! FREE REBEL SPIRIT.”

D.C. U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves spoke after the hearing saying that there “is no place for political violence in our country and no excuse for threatening public officials or endangering our public servants.”

“We hope this resolution will serve as a warning that using our mail system to send a toxic substance and other threats of this type will cost you your freedom for many years,” he said.

Ferrier’s guilty plea also included eight charges from another case in Texas in which she had sent more ricin-laced letters to police officers, prison officials, and others after she had been arrested in the state in 2019 and spent a total of ten weeks in jail.

Trump’s 2024 Campaign Makes Liftoff with Stops in New Hampshire and South Carolina

Former President Donald Trump visited the first two primary states, New Hampshire and South Carolina, on Saturday as his 2024 presidential campaign officially hit the trail.

Trump delivered the keynote address at the New Hampshire Republican Party’s annual meeting in Salem, New Hampshire, on Saturday morning.

“So we’re here, and we start, we begin,” said Trump at the top of his address, adding he was “thrilled to be back in this beautiful state.”‘

Trump announced New Hampshire GOP Chairman Steve Stepanaek, who co-chaired his first presidential campaign in the Granite State, would be “stepping down and… coming on board as the senior adviser for my New Hampshire campaign.” He also reaffirmed his advocacy for New Hampshire’s status as the first primary state in the nation, drawing strong applause from those in attendance, and he pledged to preserve it “for many, many years to come” if elected president.


“We’re going to turn New Hampshire red November 5, 2024,” asserted Trump, who recently polled three points ahead of President Joe Biden and remains the lone GOP candidate in the race.


CNN reported that he also bashed media, as many mainstream and legacy outlets and networks like CNN have attempted to brand his campaign as being off to a “sluggish start,” as he has not held one of his trademark rallies.

“They said, ‘He’s not doing rallies, maybe he’s lost that step.’ I’m more angry now and I’m more committed now than I ever was,” Trump said, according to CNN’s Katie Sullivan, Gabby Orr, and Kristin Holmes.

However, Chris LaCivita noted earlier this month when speaking with Politico that it is very early in the campaign and added that “it would be kind of crazy to be spending huge amounts of money this far out.” For reference, the Iowa caucus remains twelve months away, and Trump did not even announce his first campaign for the presidency until June 2015 – seven months ahead of the Iowa caucus.

Additionally, Trump has put forth a number of videos laying out strong policy platforms on many issues, including a comprehensive plan to protect free speech, a vision to take on drug cartels in a fashion similar to the Islamic State, and a plan to protect America’s economic “Crown Jewels” from communist China. These videos have coincided with a substantial 15-point surge in his favorability since December, which was documented in a recent Economist/YouGov poll.

After his remarks in New Hampshire, the 45th president headed down to Columbia, South Carolina, where he held his first official campaign event and was flanked by early supporters Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Gov Henry McMaster (R-SC), and Rep Russell Fry (R-SC).


“I’m thrilled to be back in the great state of South Carolina, we won it twice by record numbers, and it’s just a real honor. It’s an incredible place,” said Trump after being introduced by Fry, the only freshman congressman to serve on the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees. “The famous saying goes, ‘South Carolina picks presidents.'”

“This campaign will be about the future. This campaign will be about issues, ” he later said. “Joe Biden has put America on the fast track to ruin and destruction, and we will ensure that he does not receive four more years.”


“The 2024 election is our one shot to save our country, and we need a leader who is ready to do that on day one. We need a fighter who can stand up to the left, who can stand up to the swamp, stand up to the media, stand up to the deep state … am I allowed to say stand up to the RINOs too?” Trump laughed.

Trump announced Graham and McMaster were heading his campaign’s leadership team in the Palmetto state, and the pair delivered remarks after he spoke.

“As you have noticed, this crowd loves you,” McMaster told Trump. “And that’s because we believe in common sense, we believe in the Declaration of Independence, we believe in the Consitution, we believe in the Bible, and we believe in you. ”

“Well, he did it once, he can do it again,” Graham told the crowd.

“How many times have you heard, ‘We like Trump policies, but we want somebody new?’ There are no Trump policies without Donald Trump,” Graham declared. ” I was there, you know why $400 billion was given by NATO nations? Because he asked, and they were afraid to say no.”


“People talk about China; you did something about China,” he told Trump. “They finally paid. Everybody’s been talking about China, you made ’em pay.”



“The good news for the Republican Party, there are many talented people for years to come, but there is only one Donald Trump,” added Graham.

Following the event, in which Trump introduced other members of his leadership team, the 45th president stopped at a local business, where a worker prayed over him.

He literally tried to overthrow the US government. That is not a bold take, that is what he tried to do. How in the fuck is that a forgivable sin to people that call themselves Patriots?

On top of that, he intentionally stole classified documents for the purposes of either using them for political leverage, or selling them to foreign adversaries, or a combination of the two.

How is it possible to wave the flag and sing "God Bless America" and then reconcile that to supporting Trump? Make me understand it.

That’s pretty much the crux of the matter. I mega loathe both of them. But sorry, if trump is the only other option to vote against Biden, I gotta do it.

Trump may have tried to overthrow the government of whatever happened. Biden is trying to overthrow my wallet.

Easy explanation US presidents are above the law. And if they do go to jail which is highly unlikely another president in there party can pardon them. Like I said a few days ago all politicians are crooks.
