Biden did not have a particularly bad debate. It was a draw except for that one policy position on energy that the GOP is going to use against him. Biden spoke at length and clearly about his positions and those who were trying to say that Biden doesn;t know where he is or what day it is are proven wrong. So many said that he benefitted from Trumps behaviour in the first debate because no one could see his mental decline. But in the town hall and in tis debate he held his own. He is not suffering from dementia.

OH , so now they say it isn't MENTAL decline, now they are saying Biden "tired" at the end. Always looking for something. If the Dems wanted they could say that Trumps subdued demeanor at the debate was due to lingering effects of the Covid virus, but I haven't heart that claim.
What was pathetic was the first debate, President Trump vs Chris Wallace, with sleepy Joe in the back ground mumbling.

Attempted to watch POTUS town hall, but turned out to be some woman shouting questions at him, and not letting him finish his answers.
Turned on ABC's VP and The People's town hall, but didn't see Pence anywhere, so I shut it off.

Biden was terrible, saying we were friends with Hitler.
All he did was talk about destroying the oil/gas company jobs, and never mentioned how he was going to enforce his clean energy policies.

I guess it would be like what influenza was like before the vaccine. I don't see the coronavirus going away but I do see us learning to live with it like we do the flu, that is if we have successful vaccines and treatments. Still though people won't get the vaccine like they don't get flu shots and we'll still probably have 30,000 people die a year in the US 10 of covid years from now.

Reading today that certain immunologists are recommending that social distancing stay in place pretty much forever, vaccine or not.

I get it from their point of view.

But, it's kind of like I was after being in my first real security briefing, scared shitless. You leave there thinking we are all going to die soon because of all the threats out there, and how vulnerable we are. Someday, one of the doomsday scenarios may end up being right, but we can't live in that fear constantly.

I am sure immunologists just look at all the bugs out there and think everything is going to be the end of mankind. But we can't live this way forever. Hate to admit it, I said "fuck it" last night and went to a social happy hour in the cul de sac yesterday evening.

No mask, no gloves. Fuck it. Seven plus months is enough.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

The social distancing and extra sanitation and masks and increased immunizations have led to a record low influenza season in the southern hemisphere, particularly Australia,

In august of 2019 there were 61,000 lab confirmed flu cases in Australian in 2020? 107. That's extreme and is much more than could be accounted for than just people with flu avoiding going into the doctor.

That doesn't necessarily mean that the flu season in the US is going to be mild, but it does clearly show that we can take some simple steps ( handwashing, increased sanitation of surfaces, masks, increased vaccinations) and make the flu season a much less dangerous thing

But that is a dream scenario for radical leftists hell bent on imposing Marxist, Socialist policies here. Not saying it will or won't ever happen, who knows, but its always easier for the ruling elites in Socialist countries to lord over a citizenry that is scared shitless. People are also more willing to give up certain rights when they are living in constant irrational fear.

If you don't want to wear masks for the rest of your life, you're selfish.... You don't care about other people. I mean, it's only a mask.
