I'm well aware of Trump's faults. He's rough around the edges, to say the least. Many say he's a pig, but so am I. If I could grab 'em by the pussy and they would let me, I would.

He's not a "statesmen" whatever that means anymore. He's says dumb shit but so do all of us. He exaggerates, inflates, and propagates, but so do all politicians.

And in spite of that, he's still the best president I've ever witnessed in my life. I felt good for the country when he was in office, and I felt good for myself as in I know he has our collective backs. Say what you will, but don't say he doesn't love his country. He's been saying the same shit for decades about this country. Go back and look at the interviews from the early 80s. EVERYBODY wanted to be on his dick. Black, White, Asian, liberal, conservative... you name it.

I suffer NO KDS because I don't give a shit about her. I don't bring her up every day in the spirit of whatboutism. So there's no "both sides" here.

And Trump saying people are eating cats in Ohio should be enough proof for EVERYONE on this board to not vote for him. It's not a left/right issue. It's a "someone who says insane stuff can't be president" issue.

Who the fuck eats a cat? If you're hungry enough to want to eat a cat, the effort to catch it, skin it and then eat it... you might as well steal some food at the local supermarket or go to some local church where they'll feed you. No one is eating cats in Ohio.

This kind of nonsense would've killed the career of whoever said it at the Reagan-Mondale debate, or the Bush-Dukakis debate. Can you imagine anyone making that kind of moronic statement back in the day? You can't.

No, but that doesn't effect people's everyday life like bad idea's do. Not saying Trump doesn't have bad idea's, but I can't think of hardly any good ones that she has.

As for Swift... Yeah, she is a total nimby fake that started out grifting as an "awshucks" country girl when she had parents who were pretty well off. She was never one with rural America. She was always going to be a pop star like Shania (boy, she ages like milk), but these are rich nimby's that mostly have low info supporters. So, yeah... they do help the Dems.

Honestly, this is part of the reason I stopped going to the movies and supporting Pro Sports. It's like, why fund your enemies when you don't need to do so? It's an unforced error basically

With all that said, Trump is too often his own worst enemy. He was responsible for his poor performance. Not Taylor Swift or anyone else. He had himself to blame for his poor effort. It falls on him to do better.

LD, dogs are considered a delicacy in Korea so I wouldn't doubt cats are as well. We all know RFK Jr. will eat anything, hence the brain parasites.

Can't believe I actually watched that whole thing last night.

Harris started off slow and it seemed Trump had the upper hand. But it eventually unraveled with the dogs and cats BS. After that point he went after any bait she dangled in front of him. Surprised she didn't drop the word "weird" on him.

The moderators should have tried harder to make each candidate actually answer the questions presented to them.

Trump had his moments and should NOT have waited until his closing argument to ask her why she hasn't done anything in the 3 1/2 years she's been in office...although as VP.

If anyone won, I'd give the edge to her. Not sure it moves the needle at all though.

After the debate I flipped between the post-debate analysis of the big 3. Obviously MSNBC was saying that Harris fileted Trump. Whatever. CNN was favorable yet reserved towards her. Fox seemed eager for there to be another debate in which Trump would be given a 2nd chance. Even Laura announced that the Dems already said they want another debate, indicating to her that they didn't think she did well, yet Laura said that this should be her "mic drop" moment and not have another debate.

And Taylor Swift...is anyone surprised? I'd be more surprised if Kelce says something political.

Trump started strong but spent too much time pushing the 'illegals coming across the border' rather than addressing the other core issues, leaving him to make a quick shoehorn attempt right at the death in his quick, closing comment. Also, whilst focussing on immigration, he missed the key points of the bi-partisan bill being irrelevant as POTUS can issue executive orders and the current administration's lack of action.

When she asked him not to lie after she has corrected him he should have pointed out she needs to do the same and he should have called out the mods for fact-checking him but not her as well as ask why they're so keen to hold him account for 4 years ago (Jan 6th) but not hold her to account for the past 4 years of the current administration. And every time she said 'don't go back, let's turn the page' he should have hammered home that a choice for Kamala is not turning the page.

Whether you're left or right, you know she she was there for the taking and he didn't take it.
