It's because he is in unison with most people in this country on immigration, and most of the country wants them deported and a wall built. Illegal immigrants have been fucking the middle class for decades now and it has to be stopped, even if some feelings will be hurt and some demonstrations/riots take place...I'm willing to fight.

Like it has been said before, I don't think he is serious about becoming POTUS but he is sure showing the field what the majority of Americans are feeling about how fucked up this country is right now and my hope is this blows up in the left's face. God help us all if Hillary or Jeb becomes president.

Dude - I hope you're right. If he becomes POTUS - it's an embarrassment to that title. Absolutely anyone should be allowed to run; however you need to have a certain stature to not be a mockery. IF he does win (at least the GOP nomination) - Jon Stewart will be kicking himself for leaving the desk, John Oliver and SNL will be sending personalized thank you notes to the GOP.

He's a buffoon whose opinions have been all over the place. It should be an embarrassment to the GOP that he is leading the field. Instead, it's an embarrassment that they don't seem to care.

And I don't mean to offend anyone here, but if most Americans think the solution to illegal immigration is to round them all up, dump them on the "other side", and build a wall, then I guess we get the leadership we deserve.

Trump speaks for a silent but furious group (majority?) that feels like the country has gone off the rails in its overly-pc-let's-not-offend-anyone-even-if-they're-wrong mentality.

He's also a breath of fresh air in a field where everyone tries to be as inoffensive as possible and trip over themselves in the process. Trump doesn't care about "gotcha" questions and responses. He welcomes the controversy because he's rich and you aren't and he's not afraid to call BS where he sees it no matter how much people hate him for it.

While he lacks serious policy chops, his attitude is what shot him to the top.

He may implode but he IS different. He's not PC.

I like that. I'm a one issue guy. Illegal immigration is my issue.

Therefore, he would have my vote on that alone.

No, causing self deportation is the answer. Dry up their opportunities and they will flee, THEN the wall gets built....

Right now, it's impossible to legally emigrate here from Mexico if you're a high school graduate, but without a trade, and have no relatives here already. Because we limit entrance to those people to 10,000 a year, you have waits to get here legally that have been described in real terms has well over 100 years or "infinity."

A wall is not going to stop these people. They survive hunger, the desert, riding on top of trains, rape, becoming drug mules, extortion, and worse. The walls that are up stop no one. But if I am a mom looking for a better life for my kids, and I had to starve, run from corrupt police, get raped, become a drug mule, and get extorted for thousands of dollars, a wall is not going to stop me.

Make it easier to come here legally, fine employers real amounts of money for employing illegal immigrants. Problem solved, and no need to waste money on a wall.

You know who else is looking for a better life? Drug dealers, embezzlers, thiefs and just about everyone else willing to commit a crime and that's what these people are doing only on a much more major scale. Mexico is a fuckhole because of Mexicans dont want to fix their problems, they want to come here and have us fix their problems at our expense, it's not fucking right, it's not fucking fair and I and most of this country aren't going to take this shit any longer.

I am just tired of the attitude that "they are here and they have a right to be here". No, they don't and for breaking into this country they should be jailed and sent back. If someone breaks in your house that is exactly what would happen, why should our country be any different? Because eventually these fuckers will vote for the liberals at the detriment of this country, that is why. Sickening and shameful.

Yeah, Mexico can be a cesspool, but the average person there is not responsible. Many of the problems in Mexico are caused by our drug war.

I'd be careful how you phrase that stuff. If I didn't know better and I read that, I'd assume you weren't against illegal immigration, just any immigration, legal or illegal, by Mexicans only.
