Republican presidential hopeful and billionaire real-estate mogul Donald Trump sent a scathing letter to Univision’s CEO Friday, banning the network’s staff from his Miami golf resort.

“Please be advised that under no circumstances is any officer or representative of Univision allowed to use Trump National Doral, Miami — its golf courses or any of its facilities,” Trump wrote to CEO and President Randy Falco.



The Republican candidate’s very public dispute started when Univision announced this week that it would no longer maintain a business relationship with the Miss Universe Organization, co-owned by Trump. The network said the decision was made over Trump’s “insulting remarks about Mexican immigrants.”

Trump publishes Jorge Ramos' phone number

Donald Trump published a photograph of a handwritten letter from Univision's Jorge Ramos on Friday that included the anchor's personal cellphone number, a move that is likely to inflame the recent tensions gbetween the two parties.

In the letter, sent Thursday, Ramos asks if Trump will sit with him for an interview. Ramos then provides his cellphone number, in the event that Trump "would like to talk first over the phone." Trump published the photo to his personal Instagram account on Friday, noting that Univision was "begging" him for interviews even after publicly severing business ties with him.

Earlier that day, Univision had announced it would end its business relationship with the Miss Universe Organization, which is co-owned by Trump and NBCUniversal, based on what it described as Trump's "insulting remarks about Mexican immigrants" during the launch of his presidential campaign. (Trump had said he would build a wall to stop Mexico from dumping "rapists" and criminals on U.S. soil. He later accused the media of trying to distort his remarks.)

Later on Thursday, Trump announced he would sue Univision for breach of contract and defamation. In an interview with the On Media blog, Trump accused Univision of defaulting on an "iron-clad" $13.5 million contract, which he said it had no right to terminate.

Press representatives from Univision did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the disclosure of Ramos' cellphone number. Trump's office declined to comment on the matter.

Ramos, who we profiled last year, is the most popular Hispanic news anchor in America and widely celebrated for his advocacy on immigration reform. He has also been critical of Trump's remarks on Mexican immigrants.

In his letter, Ramos told Trump he wanted to write him personally to request an interview. "I am sure you have a lot of things to say," Ramos wrote, "and I have a lot of things to ask. I'll go to New York or wherever you would like."

Trump's interpretation of the letter, as posted on Instagram: "Univision said they don't like Trump yet Jorge Ramos and their other anchors are begging me for interviews."
