Do you think Dave should've called ALAE something else?

I'm facinated with this album - it was the first Dave cd I bought on the day of release - I really love it - and it holds great memories for me. Saw him play Dublin on the tour as well.

But the name...'A Little Ain't Enough' - do you think it should've been called 'Cut N' Out' as was originally intended?

ALAE - it doesn't really hit you as hard as EEAS, does it?

I guess I'm just sad that the album never went platinum (or did it go uncertified??) - and that it is available now as a cut-out at amazon.com.

This album REALLY deserved more - another reason I want the re-union to happen, Roth's solo albums are bound to start selling again.

Its platinum status is uncertified according to the Army and some other sites, yeah.

As for the album title... hmmm... don't think that other title would've helped it to sell any better.

I thought the album title was just fine.

First, 'Everybody Wants Some', then 'A Little Ain't Enough'.

I don't think the title hurt it at all. One thing that very definately did hurt it was the midgets in blackface on the title track's video. It was hard to push an album back then without MTV.

ALAE is the last great effort (IMO) from DLR solo.
after that it was...a little bit here...a little bit there...with VH and VAI/Sheehan it was everything every where! Then DLR had a cover band take care of the rest on tour. [img]graemlins/irked.gif[/img]
